Gina and I are immediately drop our baseball bat and a kitchen knifes down onto the ground, but the knifes were nearly stabbed by her right foot. Which is so fucking close, I was began to look worried and shocked if that was going happened fast.

Jack made up the front, dark hair and his business clothes plastered to his upper body. In that moment, I almost felt silly for thinking I could ever forget him. He was more man than all the guys I'd met combined. His dark eyes settled on me, then at Gina, who's still standing beside me and scroll at him.

"Jack, what are you doing here?" I asked completely surprised.

"I came here to see you, didn't you get my gift?" He asked, carefully. What gift?

"I didn't mention any about the gift." I confused.

"I bet you do, Gina did." He said and pointed at her.

I looked over at Gina, looking deeply guilty that she— The white gift?! It was from Jack, not Gina.

So this is why she's been stay quietly and didn't want it to tell me it was from him. It's always him. Probably just because Jack has sent this gift to Gina to delivery me.

Why did he have to be so...tolerable? If I didn't know it any better, I'd say he had a suspicion I was trying to figure out a way to run away from our marriage.

"How did you get in here?" I asked.

"The back door was unlock, hasn't expected that it must be broken?" He retort.

Crap! I must have totally forgot about the back door was broken before I just got here. You know, from the night evening Cortex broke in while I got out of bed? That what I remember.

"I was going to fix it after I came back." I said, glance over my shoulder to looked at the lake.

When Jack noticed where I'm looking at, until Gina quick make a scene.

"Why don't we go inside and settled in?" She asked, as she drag me and... Jack back inside this cottage. But I didn't want to go inside with him, Jack. I want it to go outside and see Cortex.

When we stepped into the cottage, then Jack's mobile ringing as he glance down on the screen, turn and look at me.

"I got to take this," Jack said.

"Go ahead," I said.

Jack nodded.

"Show your sister to her room and then we can eat." He was still withdrawn and stiff. I watched him head around the corner toward the kitchen area.

I drag Gina into her guestroom, but she quickly pulled me inside and closed the door. "Are you okay?"

"Yes. I told you I'm fine. But no."

"I prefer to hear you say it when I can see your face."

"I'm not lying to you, Gina."

She gripped my hand.

"What about Cortex? What are we going to do when's Jack find out about him? You know there will be huge scene going on." She asked with concerned and worried.

"No, he won't. I'm not gonna let him stay as long as I make him leave." I said.

Her eyes widened. "But something happened between the two of you. Don't tell him."

I pulled away.

"We need to have dinner now. Cortex will be mad if he spotted at Jack. I have to get to him before Jack get something suspicious about between me and him." I protected.
