Gianna
Gina and I are heading out onto the boat, it's just me, her and Cortex. Away from the wood and the cottage, and we are also brought boiled egg for Cortex, and brought ourselves two lunch for me and her.The reason why we don't want Jack or Cortex to be getting near each other for starting making a big scene, especially killing speed. Worst.
Jack won't able be back till six or seven, he headed out for seeing his brother, Marcus.
The boat cut its way through the calm water. Gina was in front. I paddled from the back, which also put me in charge of steering. That left our food in the middle. That's all very important to keep track of.
I took a moment to stare up into the sky and briefly smiled.
"No wonder we never felt like this way," I told Gina as the cleared briefly and I stared, awestruck, at the big dipper in the sky. "Just look at that."
Gina looked up for a moment. She wasn't as impressed.
"Hey, so just to let you know... we're better have to letting him go." She said.
Gina and I stopped paddling for a second.
"Huh?" I asked. "No. I wouldn't want to letting him go," I told her.
"Ok, so we'd have to be stupid," Gina confirmed. "We're not stupid. So ... cool."
We started paddling again, but I could tell Gina was feeling a little uneasy.
"Do you always get like this?" I asked her carefully.
"I don't know," she said.
Again, we stopped paddling.
"You don't know?" I asked. "Gina, is this about between me and Jack?"
"No." She said.
"Then what it is?" I asked, she didn't replied. "What it is got into you? This isn't about Cortex what we're doing here, isn't it?"
After far all the reasons why we're been doing here is to get to see him and now she's telling me to letting him go. For what? To move on my life without him? Gina and I stared at each other for a moment as the boat began to list off course from the breeze.
"Gina, is there something you're not telling me?" I asked.
"Not exactly," she said. "By which I mean not at all. I don't entirely know," she admitted.
I turned to her. "You're up to something, aren't you?"
She hesitated. "I can't do this, Gianna. Even if I can't, you want out. Out of this world. Out of this arranged marriage. Just out." She said. My face became still, blue eyes wide.
"You want me to run?" I asked.
The wind had picked up and tore at my hair, but I wasn't certain if that was the only reason why I shivered.
