Chapter 2 - Meeting Janiel

I was awoken by the sound of knocking at my bedroom door.

"Come in" I call as I sit up and rub the sleep out of my eyes. I open my eyes to find my friend Taylor bursting through the door as she ran and jumped on my bed.

"Jezz Tay" I say as I bounce up with the bed. "What's the all the excitement about?"

Taylor just gave me one of her goofy looking grins. "Kayla, you'll never guess who's downstairs."

I roll my eyes at her. "Who? Some famous actor?" I ask in a sarcastic way.

She looks at me and rolled her eyes.
"No, it's that Internet guy you watch all the time on youtube, what's his name, Johnny or something? "

I know she's messing with me.
"His name is Joey Graceffa and you know it" I say as I get out of bed and find something decent to wear.
"I wonder who he's going to adopt?"
I call to Taylor as I get dreesed in my bathroom.

"Probably one of the younger kids, like always." Taylor says as she gets off of my bed so I can make it.

"Yea, but hey you never know, they could be looking for a teenager like us" I say tring to lighten the mood

After I make the bed the way I like it I gave Taylor a smile and we both ran downstairs, slowing to a walk as we reach the bottom step.

We turn the corner to find not only Joey Graceffa but also his boyfriend Daniel Preda along with Ms. Lane, the orphanage headmaster.
Ms. Lane was a kind and caring woman, she always took care of the problem without getting mad, At least from what I've seen.

Ms. Lane, Joey, and Daniel turn their heads as we enter the room.
"Ah, and this is Kayla, the one I sent Taylor to wake up." Ms. Lane says to the men
Joey walks up to me followed by Daniel and we shake hands.
"Nice to meet you Mr Graceffa, and you as well Mr Preda" I say politely.
They both giggle and Joey says
"Oh please call us Joey and Daniel."
I can't help but laugh along with them.
"Ok, if you insist" I say when I catch my breath from laughing.

After I properly introduce myself, they go outside to thier car to descus wich kid they wanted to adopt. While Taylor and I go to find me something for breakfast.

"They seamed nice" I offer as I dip my spoon into my bowl of frosted flakes.

"Yea they do" Taylor says just as Ms Lane comes up behind us and says "Kayla may I please see you in my office?"I look at her to see hope in her eyes as I say "Yes Ms Lane" I say then look at Taylor "Don't eat my breakfast Tay"

I follow Ms Lane to her office to see Joey and Daniel sitting in the chairs across from her desk. I stop at the doorway astonished, it's happened before to the other kids, but not to me. "Y-you don't m-mean...." I stumbled for the right words.
Ms Lane gives a warm smile.
"Yes Kayla, you've been adopted."
I squealed like a little girl in delight as I ran upstairs to pack my belonings.
