As we were driving back home Daniel in the driver's seat, Joey on the passenger side, and me in the back, Daniel asks joey a question " So you never answered my question, Who did this to you?" I notice joey looks at me in the rearview mirror when he says "Just some guy, probably a hater." He shrugs as he answers.
I see a look in his eyes and I think Daniel sees it too because just as we pull up to the house he says "Babe I know you, and I know when your liying. Now who did this, did they say why they were there? Anything we can tell the police?" At the mention of the police, Joey's head snaps up. " No were not telling the police"
"But -" Daniel starts and Joey cuts him off " No buts nor ifs and I mean it" with that he got out of the car and went into the house. "I know he's hiding something..."Daniel says half to himself.
He looks at me through the rearview mirror. " Sorry you had to see that Kayla, we rarely fight about serious matters like this." I look at him and say "It's fine, every couple has there heated moments." He laughed and said "You got that right kiddo" I laughed with him as we get inside the house we see joey quickly put his hands behind his back.
"Joey? Watcha got there behind your back?" Daniel asked walking toarwds him. Joey backed away looking nervous. "Nothing important." He says as he was backed against the wall.
"Let's see here... it looks like a letter. A letter for you kayla." He turns to me and hands me the letter. I've never gotten a letter unless it's from my uncle, the one who wants nothing to do with me unless it's to tell me that I killed my parents.
I read it with shaking hands.
It says: Dear my bich of a niece and her adopted parents,
I'm going to make your life a living hell don't worry this is only the beginning of what is yet to come.
I'm going to make you wish you've never adopted the bitch you may call a daughter. Don't worry, I'm only getting warmed up. I'm going to make you pay for what you've done.
Bye now, yours truly, uncle kyle.
I finnish the letter in tears and Daniel looks at me confused "is something wrong Kayla?" He asked me. "He's back!" I scream.
"Who's back" Daniel asked still confused.
Then he's at our house, in our doorway and I hear his dreaded voice once again. " I'm back bitches" He laughed evily. I turn to find my uncle pointing a gun at my new family. Daniel gets in between me and the gun.
