We -Tyler and I- were walking side by side to get out of this place. No one talked throughout our walking session, but we were both feeling comfortable.
Ding Ding
My phone. I pulled it out of my pocket and checked the notification. A text from, who else, Eva.
Eva: Hey, girl! U ok? Josh told me some stuff ;)
You: I'm fine. Wait. What did he tell u, when and how?!?!?!?!
Eva: Well, he texted me earlier and told me u would get out 2day. He also told me u like 'Ty'?
You: Wth Eva, u already know I do... But, that means, Josh knows?!
Eva: Yeap.
You: Oh crap... Anyways, we're on our way out so I'd appreciate it if came to pick me up ^-^
Eva: On my way!
You: Thx! <3
I put the phone back to where it should be and continued what I was doing. Walking.
"Y/n?" Tyler asks. "Yes?" I answer.
"Who were you talking to?"
"Oh, my friend Eva. She's coming to pick me up."
"Oh, ok. We, I have another question."
"Hit me." "WHat? Why would I?!" he says, obviously confused.
"No, I mean, ask me your question." I chuckle at his misunderstanding.
"Oh, I'm stupid, sorry..." "No, you're not! Now, what's your question?"
"Yeah, right. Um, my question is, I totally understand if it sounds kind of weird and you don't want to answer because, well, we're friends only for a few hours now, but I was wondering, out of curiosity, if you have a boyfriend." he talks, scratching the back of his neck.
Oh no! What do I tell him now?! Darn it...
"Well..." I start. I take a breath before continuing and let it out after a second.
"No, I don't have a boyfriend." Lie. "Do you have a girlfriend?"
"Um, no. Actually, I don't. " "You do not?! I exclaim surprised.
"No, I don't. Why are you so surprised?" he chuckles
"You can't be single if you're so attractive, can you?" I immediately regret everything that came out of my mouth as I mentally face-palmed.
I can feel the heat rise in my body and my cheeks turning red once again.
"Oh, um, thanks for the compliment, I guess, but, um, I just haven't found the right person, you know?"
"Mhm." I nod, avoiding saying anything stupid again.
"What about you? Why doesn't such a beautiful girl have someone with her?" he asks, making me blush even more, if physically possible.
"Um, for the same reason..." I lie. Again.
"Ok, then. Oh, look, here we are!" Tyler tries to change the subject.
"Aren't we supposed to sign any papers or something?"
"Um, no. Josh texted me. He has everything done."
"Okay. Let's go." I smile and keep walking. Next to Tyler. Out of here. Finally...
