[TW: SUICIDE]

yesterday at 7:00pm, i was at the library, making bath bombs with a few people i knew. the library was holding a bath bomb making class thing, and it was fun. for a little bit, anyway.

7:30pm. me and two of my friends were waiting for our bath bombs to set, so we were out looking at books. the library helper came out and asked if anyone wanted to go see if their bath bombs were done. i turned to leave with my two friends to go check out bath bombs.

before i could leave, my sister called my name, saying it was urgent. i went over to her and her friend. my sister told me if i remembered a kid (lets call him snow) named snow. i said i didnt recognize the name. she told me he went to our elementary school. a blurry image of him appeared in my mind, but i wasnt sure.

she told me that he committed suicide. and at first, i wasnt sure how to feel. i dont know if i even believed it. but then we got home, and i checked my yearbook to find his name.

and i'm looking at the kid that sat behind me on the bus on tuesday. i'm looking at the kid that was incredibly sweet, and nice. i didnt know him too well, but that doesnt matter. i grieved. my school grieved too. teachers were crying, students were crying, and everyone in between was crying.

so let me ask a question: why do people bully each other? especially kids. why do kids bully each other? to the point where a kid physically killed himself? why?

when i watched and read 13 reasons why last year, i couldnt relate to it, so i didnt understand it as much as i could have. when i watched movies that involve suicide, i didnt understand it clearly.

but now i know what it feels like. i'm never going to see snow again. he's gone. and you know what? i hope whoever bullied him is happy. because they ruined not only snow's life, but the people closest to him, too.

i can only imagine what his parents and close friends are feeling. so if you see someone that is sad, or looks upset, ask them if they are okay. be a friend to them.

save a life.
