Chapter Four

Before I start writing this chapter, I just want to say thankyou to a very good friend of mine. If it wasn't for her, I honestly wouldn't carry on with this fanfic. Thankyou😘

Also I'm not sure whether to start doing mixed POV's? I mean the story is mainly based on Luke and Katie, but somewhere there's going to be some drama, so Megan and Michael will become a bigger part.

Luke's POV:

I was already in school this morning, we got up extra early to practice some new stuff we'd been writing for a while. I was walking to the music room, the boys had told me to meet them there. Then I felt someone bump into me, I looked up to see Katie. "Woah, where are you going so fast Katie?" I asked her, with a smile. "I have to go find Steph, have you seen her anywhere?"

"Yeah I saw her about 5 minutes ago, she said she had to go talk to Mr Taylor about 'swapping partners' for the project." I replied. "Okay, thanks Luke, see you in Chemistry later."

Why is Katie so beautiful? The way her long, brown, wavy hair just falls into place perfectly. Her smile could light up a whole city, let alone a whole town. I just wish she felt the same way.

I walked into the music room, all the boys were there and they were just glaring at me. "What? Have I done something wrong?" I asked beginning to slowly step forward to my guitar. "You're 5 minutes late, where the hell have you been?" Ashton asked curiously. "Oh, well, I was on my way here but on the way Katie bumpe-" I couldn't even finish my sentence, I got interrupted but Calum and Michael shouting "oooo, has Lukey got a girlfriend?" I knew they were joking but it was kinda annoying at times. Especially knowing it'll never be that way.

The bell went for first period. But we always had music first period on a Wednesday, so we stayed there. Music was always fun, our teacher always let me and the boys go off and practice for small gigs around here.

The bell went for last period. I walked into Chemistry and sat down, I was chatting with Calum and then Katie walked in and sat down next to me. "Hey guys." She said, interrupting the conversation I was having. "Hey Katie, how are you?" I asked her. "I'm good thankyou, how's the science project coming along?" She asked, I went silent as it wasn't going to plan just yet. "It's okay, Steph wasn't very up to it but I'm sure she'll be okay soon." I replied.

Mr Taylor walked in and started walking over to me, Calum and Katie. Calum looked at me as if to say 'what's going on?' I shrugged my shoulders and him and listened for what sir had to say.

"There's been a slight change, Luke, you'll be working with Katie and Calum, you'll be working with Steph" Excuse me what? I'm working with Katie? Oh my god yes, this is what I was hoping for yesterday and now it's finally happened.

After Chemistry, I told the boys that I was going to find Katie to see if she wanted to get started on the project. I saw her at her locker putting her textbooks away, I walked over to talk to her. "Hey Katie, seeing as we're working together now, do you want to come over tonight and try to start it?" I said with a smile. "Yeah sure." She replied sounding happy. "I'll wait for you outside."

When we got to my house, I went straight to the kitchen. I was starving. "Want any?" I asked her while grabbing a massive bag of cheese balls. "Nah, I'm good. Don't really want cheese ball stains on our work thanks." She said, I laughed. I loved the way she could make me smile by doing the littlest things.

I took her into the front room so we could get started on the project. I could tell this would be a long night. Stupid science.

I could see she was concentrating so much on the project, I decided to play a joke just to make things a little less boring. "Excuse me, what do you think you're doing." She shouted as I took the pen out of her hand. "Just having fun while you do the boring project. You gave me nothing to do soooo..." I didn't finish my sentence. I just got up and ran away from her. I looked back and could tell she was angry, it was cute.

She finally caught up with me and took the pen back. We were sat on the stairs trying to catch our breath. "Luke that was mean." She said looking down at me with a pout. "I just wanted to have some fun, no harm in that."

When we'd finally caught out breath back, we went to go and play fifa, she beat me three times. I let her win okay, I felt bad as she was so bad the first time.

"Katie, I need to test something" I said. "Yeah, what is i-" I didn't let her finish. I leant in and kissed her on the lips. It felt so wrong, yet so right. "I'm sorry, I just..." I pulled away, I felt a little stupid. I was scared how she'd react.

After a few hours of starting off the project, she got up and went home.

What will happen now? Will there ever be an 'us'?
