Chapter Six

Katie's POV:

It got to around 11 o'clock so I decided to pluck up the effort and get out of bed. I walked into the bathroom and did what I usually did in the mornings.

I was looking through my wardrobe, I had to decide what to wear.

I decided to wear my Of Mice & Men shirt with my black skinnys. I couldn't live without those. I slipped on my white converse high tops.

As I was running down the stairs, I tripped and fell down the last 5 steps in excitement. I walked into the kitchen to find Luke sat at the table...eating Nutella and toast. What? Why is he in my house? Eating MY food?

"Luke, how did you get in here?" I questioned.

"Oh you know, your mum let me in and told me to help myself to food. You know me, I'm always hungry" he said laughing.

When I looked at the time, it was quarter to twelve. We had fifteen minutes to get to town. "Katie, are you coming or what?" Luke asked me, doing that adorable cute smile. Wow, why does he have this affect on me? He's perfect, honestly. I finished daydreaming over a guy who probably never even likes me back and let out a "yeah, of course."

We got to Luke's car and I got in. He turned on the music and Green Day's, American Idiot album was blasting. Seriously, this boy and his music mean serious business. His music taste is perfect, his band is in fact, perfect.

Luke drove along the motorway, singing to 'Wake Me Up When September Ends' by far my favourite Green Day song and he sang it beautifully. Every word was in tune. I really like him, what am I going to do?

We got to the town and we waited outside of the market where we were told to meet them. We waited for at least 5 minutes when Megan and Michael turned up. I'm so happy for them, they officially started dating last night. They're such a cute couple. I wish I could have the same with Luke. Sigh. Dream on Katie, dream on.

We were walking along town when I came across a shop that sold lots of band t-shirts. "Luke..." I said, fluttering my eyes slightly. "Yes Katie?" He sighed. "Can we go in there...pretty please?" I said, again, fluttering my eyes like a little child. "Fine" he said, rolling his eyes.

I ran inside and was completely gobsmacked by all the t-shirts in there. I came across three shirts I liked. A Slipknot one, My Chemical Romance one and a Pierce The Veil one. I could only afford one so I went with the My Chemical Romance one.

"Hey Katie, I'll buy you another one if you like?" Luke asked me. It was sweet, but I didn't want him wasting his money on me. "No no Luke, it's fine." I replied. "No Katie, I want to. Which one did you like?" I cant believe he's making me decide between Slipknot and Pierce The Veil. Who does that? "Well, I don't know what to choose, I love them both. Surprise me."

He told me to go wait outside with the others while he surprised me with the band shirt I couldn't choose over. I was talking to Megan and then I felt someone tap me on the back, I turned around to see Luke with a bag, holding it up to my face. "Open it Katie, you'll love it!" He exclaimed. I opened the bag to see both the Slipknot and Pierce The Veil shirt. There was another shirt at the bottom, I picked it out and unfolded it. It had the 5 Seconds of Summer logo on it. Which is Luke's band. "Oh Luke, I love it." I laughed. "Good, you have to love us now." He said, winking at me. Honestly, why does he keep doing this, it just brings my feelings for him to a whole new level. "Stop flirting Luke" Michael said, rolling his eyes. And off we went to the beach.
