Chapter Seven

Luke's POV:

Today with the guys has been perfect. Well, if Ashton and Calum were here, it'd be better. But overall, I had one of the best days of my life.

Michael and Megan had left a while ago and didn't come back. I didn't care to be honest, I finally got to spend some 'alone' time with Katie.

We decided to go for a walk down the beach, I loved the beach. I always came here when I needed to clear my head or something. It's a great place to be and it's even better now that I'm with Katie. I'm thinking to myself whether to ask her out on a date or not. I could do.

I dragged her onto the sand, making her and me fall on top of each other. We laughed so much we could barely breathe. She is perfect, I have no idea how one person like herself can make me feel like this.

"Luke?" She asked.

"Yes Katie?" I said with a small, half smile.

"I've been wanting to tell you this for like, ever now. But, I really like you, I have done for years. I didn't want to tell you because I thought you'd laugh right in my face, but now I've got to know you, you don't seem like the type of guy who would do that sort of thing." What just happened? Katie just told me she liked me. That's what happened. How is this even possible?

I felt a wave of relief go through me. I was so happy that Katie felt the same. "Is it crazy that I feel the same way?" I smiled, I felt my cheeks redden, in a good way though. Katie smiled, a masiive smile, which caused me to smile. She hugged me tightly, it felt amazing to be in her arms. I never felt happier than I did at that moment. "Would you possibly like to come out on a date with me tonight?" I asked her, hopeful. "Of course I will Luke!" She replied, still smiling.

I texted the boys telling them that we're walking back to meet them and how I'd got a date with Katie. They didn't give much of a reaction but oh well, I was happy.

We got to the car and climbed inside, I suggested taking Katie home first so she could get ready.

We arrived at her house and before she had the chance to get out of the car, I grabbed her wrist and kissed her of the cheek. "I'll pick you up at 7:30." She nodded and smiled.

"Oooh" Michael and Ashton both said in sync. "Lucas has a girlfriend, Lucas has a girlfriend" Calum shouted. "She is not my girlfriend, we're just good friends." I said. They mocked me. "But..she is a girl...and your friend, therefore, she is your girlfriend" Ashton explained. I didn't really take much notice of their mocking, I just couldn't stop thinking about Katie and how much I like her.

"Hey Michael, hows you and Megan?" Ashton asked. You can tell Michael really likes her because when we mention her, he blushes. It's really cute. "Oh we're fine, I'm taking her out tonight. This will be our 5th date. I'm thinking of asking her the question." He smiled a big smile. "WHAT?! MICHAEL GORDON CLIFFORD, YOU ARE WAY TOO YOUNG TO GET MARRIED" I shouted, but laughed at the same time. "No Luke, don't be silly. I'm going to ask her to be my girlfriend." When he said that, a load of 'aww's were made. Honestly, they would make a perfect couple. They suit each other so much.

"I'm really happy for you dude. You deserve Megan, you'd make a perfect couple. And Luke, whatever you decide with Katie, I'll be here for you bro." Calum said. He can be a right softie sometimes. "Thanks Cal, love you dude" me and Michael both said.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens between me and Katie tonight..
