Better plan- first supply run

"Hey." Amy said quietly

"Hi" Ethan said back still stroking her hair. His voice still raspy from just waking up.

"Um Ethan that kind of only works when i'm still sleeping" Amy said with a laugh    

"Oh yeah sorry" Ethan said pulling his hand back and Amy sat up stretching.

"Wow I can't remember the last time I slept like that, I was exhausted.Thanks for watching over me, I'm glad Dan and Phil got the night off."

"No problem, but what makes you have those types of nightmares?" Ethan asked.

"I'm surprised everyone doesn't have them in this world, then again not everyone has been through what i've been through." Amy said. Before Ethan could ask anything else Amy stood up and said "You got about two or three hours to sleep without having something weighing you down. I suggest you use it, today is going to be a long day. I'm gonna go check out this place for myself."

"Wait. I'm not tired. I'll come with you."

"I mean If you want to i'm not gonna stop you."Amy smiled. Ethan used the fence to get
up and limped over to Amy.

"How's the ankle today?" Amy asked.

"It actually feel a lot better. I can put a little weight on it. Look." Ethan said putting his foot down fully.Amy could tell it still hurt him by the look on his face, but she also saw he
was at least trying to get better, which she respected.

"Good now come on. I want to be back by the time the others wake up." Amy said

"Ok"Ethan spoke. Amy and Ethan began to walking around the fence. Once they were about half way around Amy realized that Ethan had stopped behind her.

"You need a minute?" Amy asked assuming he stopped because of his ankle.

"No it's just," Ethan paused looking out into the sea of walkers that plagued the inside of the fence. "Do you ever think about how all the dead in there used to be people like us?"Amy stood next to Ethan looking out with him.

"I used to, alot actually, but I realized that the more you think about it the harder it is to kill them. It's better to just see them as the monsters they are now."

"I know but-"

"Trust me Ethan it's a lot better not to think about it." Amy said pushing herself off the fence and continuing to walk hoping Ethan would follow. Ethan took notice of Amy leaving though he stayed a couple more seconds trying to think the way Amy did. As he was about to turn away, he spotted one of the walkers staring at him. It's jaw was falling off And the skin melting showing it's bones.Ethan looked down at his feet and spotted a stick.He looked back up at the walker and got a good idea. Ethan began tapping on the fence softly to not attract unwanted attention. The walker started to come closer moaning but the others seemed to ignore him.The walker came closer and slammed his hands on the fence. The sound made Ethan take a few steps back and Amy took notice turning around.

"What the hell are you doing?"Amy asked running over to him. 

"Trying something."Ethan explained watching as the walker stuck its hands through the fence continuing to moan louder starting to gain the attention of the others.

"What?" Amy asked looking for a way to kill it.

"Watch this" Ethan explained Picking up a stick off the ground and plunging it into the walker's head silencing it.

"Oh my God Ethan you're a genius! Come on we got to tell the others" Amy exclaimed Placing here hands on Ethan's shoulders shaking him excitingly then she grabbed his hand and started running back to the other.
