Around this time all the others were awake wondering where there three missing group members were.
"They wouldn't just leave in the middle of the night. Right?" Mark asked
"No." Ethan said but remembered Amy trying to sneak out last night "Well I mean Amy did look like she was going somewhere early this morning but she didn't tell me where."
"So what they just got up and left us?" Jack asked.
"Guys they just went hunting" Tyler called across the cell block from in front of Amy's cell. He held up Amy's note in his hand so they could all see it.
"Oh" Jack said quietly.
"Yeah I guess that does make more sense then just leaving" Ethan stated shifting from one foot to the other.
"So know that we are really alone, i have to ask... Do you guys trust them?" Jack asked.
"Honestly, yeah. I mean I know we all get that you can't trust people right away but in a weird way Amy being non-trusting of us, we can all see it, just makes me trust her more. Like why would you show you don't trust someone if you are just trying to get something out of them?" Mark explained
"And why would she take us in when we had nothing?" Tyler added.
"She saved my life when she didn't even know me, So yeah I trust her too and that means I trust her people. " Ethan said turning to Jack who was the last to voice his opinion.
"I did- no I do. It's ju- well it's dumb." Jack started trying to figure out the right words.
"What is it Jack?" Mark asked
"Listen it's probably nothing but last night when I went to Amy's cell there was, uh , something, in her bag that she wouldn't tell me about." Jack said hesitantly. He did want to cause any trouble but he thought it was best to share it anyway just in case it did turn out to be something.
"And I know I'm probably worrying about nothing but I thought it best to tell you guys. Like maybe she found more food then she said she did or maybe-"
"Wait what did you see exactly?" Mark interrupted.
"There was something poking through the side of her bag. I guess the looked like the corner of a box or something." Jack explained
"Jack that could have literally been anything." Tyler said
"Yeah like, um, feminean, uh products." Ethan said regretting saying the first thing that came into his head.
"Listen, we should just wait for Amy to get back and asked her. We shouldn't just jump to conclusions before she gets to explain, especially since trust is so big to her. You guys do want to stay here don't you?" Tyler asked. The boys looked at each other and nodded.
"Ok Well that could take a while so what should we do? We can't just sit here and not pull our weight" Mark said.
"Well we could probably clear the cafeteria alone. I looked down there when we were clearing the cells and its not to bad. We could surprise them with that before they get back" Tyler suggested.
"Yeah we could do that. Were probably better off letting them in here so we have the stairs to retreat to. Not to mention we could see what we're dealing with." Jack said looking over the railing at the door to the cafeteria.
"Alright then let's get to work." Mark shouted clapping his hands together.
Amy walked for a while till she saw a fishes nest through the clear water. The water had just enough power to create small white waves on top but didn't seem to have the strength to push someone over. She sat down pulling off her shoes easily since they didn't have laces anymore. Luckily they were still tight on her cause she was growing out of they. They sucked to walk in but they were still better than nothing. Grabbing a firm branch, Amy split the tip in two and placed her knife in the middle. She then pulled a vine down off the same tree and secured the knife in the middle so it wouldn't fall out from the force of a wiggling fish. After rolling up her pant legs to her knees and taking off her leather jacket, she stepped into the warm water. Walking through the water she stayed as quiet as possible apart from the small splashes the water made as she moved. After hours of searching and still not a single fish in sight Amy began heading back to where she head left Dan and Phil. She felt terrible coming back empty handed but there was nothing she could do at this point. She decided she'd find the boys, make a few traps and come back tomorrow and everyday after that until she got something for them. In the distance she began to hear Dan's british accent having a conversation with Phil. As they came into view, Amy's blue eyes widened. Dan waved to her and pointed to what her was holding up excitedly. Two, maybe three, no five! Amy tried to count the fish that hung from a string Dan was holding.
