Uncomfortable ride- woods sleep

"Ugh" Amy cried out after hitting another bump.

"I know this is so uncomfortable." Tyler said.

"It shouldn't be much longer now" Dan said Looking up at the almost setting sun "Maybe an hour until sunset"

"Here" Phil said taking off his sweatshirt and putting it under Amy's head like a pillow.

"You're the best" she said Pulling the sweatshirt more under her head.

"I know" Phil joked and put his hand on Amy's head petting her hair. He looked down at her with kind of a sad expression.

"You know. You can try to go to sleep if you want." Phil said. Amy smile than faded too and she shook her head.

"I promise i'm ok" She whispered to Phil and smiled up at him. Dan heard this too and gave Phil and "you tried" look and then placed his hand on Amy's leg. She looked up and smiled at him and he gave her a little smile back. Ethan and Tyler both took notice of what was going on but brushed it off as nothing.

"You guys think we should set up camp?" Jack said sticking his head out the window.

"Yeah. see if you can find a clearing in the woods where the truck can fit." Amy yelled.

"Got it" Jack yelled back. A couple minutes later Mark pulled off to the side of the road and into the woods.The truck shut off and everyone got out.

"This will work" Dan said "We'll go check and set up the perimeter."

"Set up? we don't have anything. What is there to set up?" Jack asked.

"We take some of the vines from the trees and tie them around so that if any walkers come by they'll trip and are easy to kill. Why don't you go with them and they teach you?"

"Cool" Jack said and walked with dan and phil into the woods

"And boys" Amy yelled and they turned around "Be careful". They smiled and nodded at her than continued into the woods.

"Mark, Tyler do you think you guys could get some firewood?" Amy asked

"Yeah sure" Mark said and him and Tyler walked to the woods.

" I think I should take a look at your ankle just to make sure it's healing right" Amy said to Ethan.

"Ok" He said. Amy opened the bed of the truck and Ethan jumped up dangling one foot over the side and the bad one laid up. Amy unwrapped his ankle and set the supplies aside.

"Good news is the swelling went down you should be able to put a little weight on it in a
day or so but it's gonna take Probably the rest of the week to heal fully." Amy explained.

"That's not so bad" Ethan said.

"Yeah it could have been a lot worse." Amy said.

"Seriously Amy, how do you know all this."Ethan asked
Amy looked down to avoid eye contact with Ethan and wrapped his leg again.

"Lets just say you are not the first injury i've had to fix, but you're all set and I should go see if the others need any help. " Amy said before Ethan could ask anymore. Amy walked into the woods with Jack, Dan and Phil.

"Looks good" She said examining to tied vines."Need any help?"

"No I think we are just about done" Dan answered.

"This is so smart" Jack said walking to Amy with his arms filled with more vines."And this will stop the biters from getting to the camp without us knowing?"
