"Please don't let me die," the boy pleaded, holding back tears but Amy paid no attention to him. She walked passed him grabbing a Hammer she kept in the side pocket of her backpack and went to work smashing the skulls of the closest walkers. As soon as she got the split second of the time she needed, she scooped the boy up in her arms and started running as fast as her legs could carry her. Which wasn't very fast with the extra weight, but fast enough to get rid of the walkers that were behind her. The boy was lighter than she expected, but still additional weight. Amy wasn't fast enough though, and they soon were swarmed. Amy made a break for the only way she saw; leading to an ambulance. Once at the truck, Amy set the boy down and jumped up to the top, grabbing the boy and helping him just in time. They sat on the top and watched as more walkers swarmed but couldn't reach them.

"Thank you," the boy said full of sincerity.
Amy said nothing, just trying to regain her breath.
After a while of silence, Amy told the boy to lay down.

"Why?" The boy questioned.

"We're going to be here a while I might as well check out your ankle," she replied.
The boy agreed and laid back. Amy carefully untied his shoe lace and slid his shoe off. The boy winced at the pain. Amy folded back his pant leg and observed the swollen purple color ankle.

"Is it broken?" The boy asked.

"No," Amy said, "if it was, you'd be in a lot more pain and the color would be a lot darker. It looks like just a sprain."

"Thank God" the boy said wincing as Amy pulled his pant leg down a little rough, "and it's Ethan by the way."

"What?" Amy asked, not focusing on the conversation but instead turning her attention to finding a way to get out of there.

"My name is Ethan," He said sticking his hand out. Amy just looked back out into the spread of walkers.

"And you are?" The boy asked pushing for information. Amy stayed silent.

"Oh come on, you just saved me and now you won't even tell me your name?" Ethan asked.

"Let's get one thing straight. I didn't save you out of the kindness of my heart. I saved you because you guys saved me; now we're even." Amy said.

"Oh," Ethan said in a sad voice. Amy felt bad saying that, but she was not getting close to these people. It's too risky in this world and Amy knew that better than anyone.Even something as simple as a name could give someone power over you.

"Look," Amy said, "maybe if we get out of here alive I'll tell you my name. Ok?"

"Ok," Ethan agreed, "do you have any ideas on how to do that?"

"Well luckily there is still a space open right there, but it is small, so we're never going to get through if I'm carrying you and you'll be too slow to walk," Amy replied.

"Great so we're screwed," Ethan said.

"No, I didn't say that. There is one way; it's risky and it sucks but it's our only chance. Give me your shoe laces," Ethan was confused by this but he trusted her.
Amy and Ethan both took out their laces and Ethan handed his to Amy. Amy tied the laces all together and tied a noose at one end.

"What are you doing?" Ethan asked as Amy leaned over one side of the ambulance with the noose over the side.

"I'm trying to catch one," Amy said maneuvering the laces over one of the walker's head.

"Why?" Ethan asked.

"Just watch," Amy replied. "We're only going to get one shot." Amy let go of the noose wrapping it round the closest walker's throat.
