I'm With The Boys

Chapter Three

My bedroom door slams open, banging against the wall. Turning, I scowl at the intruder.

"Whoa girl, calm your tits down." Raiden says, peeking behind the door to check if there is any damage. "All fine."

"Good. Why are you here?" I ask, curiously.

"Why not? I thought I'd come and see my Jesse Caterpillar."

"Caterpillar?"

Raiden shrugs. "Jesse Bear sounds so cliched."

"True. Anything but caterpillar though. Now stop the BS. Why are you here?" I demand.

"Weeeelllllll..." Raiden drags out.

"Raiden. If you don't reply, I will use my trusty weapon."

Raiden eyes widen in mock terror. "Your trusty weapon??!!!! Oh, what is thou?"

Grinning evilly, I say in a mock spooky voice. "The tickle monster!"

"NOOOOOO!!!! NOT THOU TICKLE MONSTER!" Raiden screams, running out of my room.

Rolling my eyes, I rush out after him. When I reach the top of the stairs, he's already at the bottom.

Activate Ninja Mode. Letting out a tribal like scream, I sit on the stairs and slide down. I wish. Halfway down, I lost my balance and, windmilling, I fell backwards off of the banister, screaming, sounding like a cross between a woman giving birth and a whale.

My back whacked against the floor and a couple of seconds later my head. "OUCH! FUCK!" I scream, pain exploding in my head. I close my eyes, breathing heavily.

I hear footsteps pounding. Opening my eyes, I see Raiden, Lucas and Callan looming above me with identical worried expressions on their faces.

"Jesse? Are you okay? Shit, I'm so sorry, I didn't know you were going to act like a complete imbecile-" Raiden starts.

"This is Jesse. What else would you expect?" Callan interrupts smirking at me.

"Arsehole." Involuntarily, I whimper at the pain in my head and back.

"Shut up, Callan, and help me get Jesse up." Thankfully, it's Raiden who helps Lucas.

As soon as I'm on my feet, I start swaying. "I'll go get some ice." Lucas heads off. Raiden reaches out to steady me.

I'm lead to the couch and I collapse onto it, face first. "Mmmphhh."

"Wow, great skills there." Raiden says sarcastically. I flip him the bird without looking up. Callan laughs. Surprisingly it isn't his cocky one but a real, genuine laugh.

"This might be cold." Lucas warns, and places the ice on my head. I yelp, shivering at the coldness of the ice.

After somehow getting brain freeze and whining like a total bitch, I'm carried to my bedroom. Lucas and Callan leave. Raiden climbs into my bed and lies beside me.

"So, are you now going to tell me why you're here and got me injured?"

"I'm going on my date tomorrow." Raiden replies, casually.

Pain in head forgotten, I start screeching and jumping up and down on my bed. "Oh my God, oh my God!" I tackle him into a hug.

Raiden loses his balance and falls backwards, me falling on top of him.

"What the fuck is going on here?" Callan roars.

Casually, I look over my shoulder and see Lucas and Callan standing in the hallway. Lucas has a satisfied smirk on his face whilst Callan looks pissed off. Very pissed off. What dafuq?

"Please children, not under my roof." Lucas says with a straight face.

Raiden and I exchange looks. Then burst out laughing. If only they knew that Raiden doesn't swing that way.

Callan and Lucas exchange confused looks. "Well then..." Is all Lucas says, walking away.

Callan lingers, and I raise an eyebrow at him. "You just gonna stand there?"

"Yep." He smirks, but Lucas grabs his arm and drags him away.

"Keen to have him all to yourself, Lucas?" I tease.

"Fuck off Jesse." Lucas yells.

I crack up and walk to close my bedroom door before going back to laying down beside Raiden. "What time is your date?" I ask him.

"Seven thirty."

"I'll be there at six thirty to help you get ready." I grin.

Raiden smiles. "Thanks Jesse."

"No problem."

We chat for an hour or so before Raiden says, "I should go."

"Okay, see you tomorrow!" I call.

"See ya." Raiden replies.

Tiredly, I change into my pyjamas and collapse on my bed, immediately slipping into unconsciousness.
