Arrival

The journey to Hyrule Castle was a shorter one then I remember- but then again I hadn't been to Hyrule Castle since Link's funeral, so it came as no big surprise. All former business had always been done by sending a representative from my Domain, or sending letters of importance through trusted royal officials. But, I guess the talks about Ganon were another story entirely. I could understand the importance behind them- for Ganon was no subject to be taken lightly. Me being required to arrive at the Castle, along with the other leaders, was the only way we could discuss such topics. No matter how tough the journey or memories would be.
Walking up to the gates of Hyrule Castle I was greeted by none other then the Queen herself. Zelda- but not the one that you know. No, for she had died no more then thirty years after Link had passed away. She had married and had two sons and two daughters; Miphar- in honor of the Zora, Urbosa- in honor of the Gerudo, Reval- in honor of the Rito, and Darius- in honor of the Gorons.
Miphar stayed in her mother's place- even though she was the youngest, she stood up and helped guide the land when her mother died of illness. Urbosa, grew up to travel and find ancient artifacts, she was a tinkerer of sorts and always helped in the research area of the Castle. Reval was a prankster, always finding ways to mess with people. But, he also knew how to be sensitive and ended up becoming his younger sisters emotional advisor. Darius on the other hand became very sick at a young age, since he was the oldest he had to help take care of his mother during her sudden decline in health. He passed away shortly after his mother had left, leaving the three in grief.
After having watched four different generations of the Hyrule family pass away, none gaining the power of the goddess, I honestly couldn't keep up. As soon as I knew the name of the current leader of Hyrule the name would suddenly change, and honestly I was getting tired of it. Then again I didn't expect much else considering how I could seemingly live forever.
But, this generation of the family is the only one that I could clearly remember- just due to the Queens' name.
Me and the Queen had been keeping in touch since the passing of the last leader, Ellytri. She had been a very wise woman, in fact- relations with my kind had become much more friendly since she had become Queen. But all good things must come to an end- nevertheless, the princess that followed in Ellytri's footsteps was one that finally I could respect. Even though she was young and made mistakes, I could always find respect for her- for she actually tried to be a good leader. Unlike some of the rulers that came before her and her mother.
If I didn't know any better I would've assumed this girl was the Zelda I had known. For Christ sakes she was the spitting image of the blonde.
She turned towards me, blue eyes staring into mine with a certain gentleness. It was calming and instantly relaxed my nerves as I walked up to the blonde. Bowing politely I looked up at her, "I see the Castle has really changed in the past hundred years." I say with a small smile clawing at my face, as I look around and gesture to the entrance to the Castle with a certain enthusiasm I hadn't shown in quite some time. "Ah yes- it has been quite some time since you've been here hasn't it?" She said gently- her voice as soft as cotton as she looked around slightly.
Not even a minute later I heard the familiar sound of flapping wings and talons clicking along the concrete entrance flooring. Turning around I met eyes with the Rito Village leader- Teba. I raise my head slightly as I greet the Rito. "Teba- it has been quite some time has it not?" The Queen greeted as they bowed at each other, gentleness lacing their faces. "I can't believe it's been three hundred years already..." The Rito spoke nostalgically as he closed his eyes and lowered his white feathered head. "It sure has."
Not long after the Gerudo and Goron leaders joined us. Having to arrive on foot takes much more time then by water or sky- so I wasn't too surprised. "Goldo, Anan. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." The princess greeted as the Goron and Gerudo leaders walked up to the entrance. I must say- the styles have really changed in the past three hundred years.
The Gerudo leader, Anan, was wearing dark brown short shorts- a red crop top with brown transparent material hanging off the edge of her top. Flowing freely in the wind. Along with that she wore brown and red sandals- and brown biker gloves. Her hair was up in the front- no bangs, and had her hair in a ponytail which hung over her right shoulder carelessly.
The Gorons didn't change much- if at all. And the Rito- Well. They became more traditional, let's just say that.
The queen motioned us inside, and we followed suite. The inside of the castle was exactly the same four hundred years ago, it was very nostalgic walking through the entrance. For the ceiling rose up and domed over the lobby, adding a open look to the place, as tall white pillars stood up around the edge of the dome, holding the walls up. Everyone was taken aback by the beautiful display and didn't notice when the queen had started off towards the double doors at the end of the room until she was already there.
We walked through the castle, admiring it in all its beauty before we arrived at another set of double doors. The doors were gold encrusted and were made out of solid iron, diamond was carved into Silent Princesses that littered the doors. "Please, everyone-" she began as she opened the doors, "take a seat."
As soon as they stepped into the room a light overhead flashed on, a gold light highlighting the center of the room. As torches, on the walls behind the seats, lit up with flame. "Very fancy display you have here," Teba remarked as he walked further into the room, race flags unraveling from the ceiling over the designated seats. Moments later everyone was sat down at their seats, preparing themselves for the discussion ahead of them.

Hoping that everything was going to be alright.
