As I saw my baby brother there. I thought about how perfect his life is going to be. Nothing to hide. Except for the secret, his sister keeps. Let's back up a bit.

My school did not technically kick me out but they might as well have. They suggested I went to a private school because they 'know how bad public school can be' if they really know how bad it is they would change it. That's not the point though. The point is that my mom decided I would do best at an online school. What a joke right. So I am enlisted at an online school for now. I caught my dad looking at new houses. Near the packhouse.

Ok back to Cole

Red and I spent every second we could together. They only stayed one night up here but I felt more comfortable than I had in months. The six of us devoured three pizzas in the back hall of the hospital. We caught up on each other's lives. Apparently, Willows's teacher told the school to put her ahead because of just the general knowledge she has. Thankfully she hasn't been picked on much since the kids her age are so young. Apollo has an eye on someone but refuses to say more than that. Really I think the twins got the worst of it. Their age is new to know about more than just their surroundings. They don't know what it means to be captive like that. I mean no one really does but kids just say what they hear their parents say. And adults in private can be horribly mean.

We spent the night acting like idiots I didn't mind the funny looks we got when people recognized us. We played tag with a few other patients kids and siblings. And even though it was just for one night. I think we all felt like we were normal for once. The evening faded into night and eventually, we all needed sleep. We all packed into two king-sized beds and slept.

The next morning we woke up and silently started eating donuts that Saundra and Jake brought for us. Sadly. they had to go home that morning. Jake had work that afternoon and Saundra had a night shift. We went back to my parents and brother. My mom sat on the bed with Cole in her arms smiling. My dad sat in a chair reading aloud.

"Good morning. We just came to say goodbye before we headed home. Congratulations on your beautiful little boy. Thank the lord he's not like his sister." Jake told them.

"Not yet anyway." Red sighed.

"Well, thanks for coming to meet him, guys. I am sure he will appreciate it when he's older. Until then I appreciate it." My mom tells them.

"We'll see you soon," Saundra told them kissing Cole lightly on the forehead.

"I'll walk you out," I say.

"Wait, Amber." My dad stopped me. "Your Mom and I have been talking and we decided that with Cole being born the four of us wouldn't fit well in our old house. And as Cole gets older he will need room to play. So we have found a house in the same town as them."

"And you only told me this now because?" I ask my parents.

"Well we were going to tell you yesterday but then I went into labor." My mom said.

"The point is because it's not like you have to go to school on Monday..." my dad said.

"You can come stay in Red's room till they come," Jake told us.

"What!" (ODP: 5/25/18)
