i pull back from the kiss and look around. everyone is looking, some people are whispering something to each other but i don't care. i think i finally got the girl i wanted.

"should we go somewhere more private." i suggest. madison nods and we head out.

it's warm outside so why not. we sit on the benches on the schoolyard. i put my arm around madison and she leans to it.

"we really made a scene back there, huh?" madison says and i chuckle.

"yea, but i don't care. i got what i wanted the most, which is you." i say and give her a kiss on her forehead.

we sit outside by the bench for the whole lesson without even realizing it. we just sit here talking or being quiet.

"amalia will kill me." madison says quietly after a while.

"hey, stop that. she'll be happy for her best friend." i say and turn to her. "you have to stop only caring about others and start caring about your own happiness."

"i know, it's just hard sometimes." she sighs.

"i can help you forget all about your friends and everyone else. you won't even remember their names."

"wow marcus maybe not that far." madison says letting out a small laugh. "i think we should get to class now."

the bell rings and we get up from the bench. i go to maths class and madison to english. we agree on going to my house after school.

we have literally done nothing since we got here. well i tried doing my homework but got bored so i gave up.

so now we're laying in my bed, sitting on our phones and watching funny videos on instagram.

"can we do something?" i ask and tighten my grip around madison.

"yea, what should we do?" she turns around on my stomach so she's facing me.

"we could maybe go to the movies? like an extempore date?" i suggest and move a strand of her hair behind her ear.

madison agrees on my idea so we get up and go downstairs. i tell my mom where we're going and then leave the house.

while i'm driving we're singing songs that come up from my playlist. i keep glancing over at madison and smiling. she's singing with so much passion and laughing. i love it.

i pull up at the movie theater and we go in. we don't even know which movies they're showing today but hey, this was supposed to be extempore.

i buy us some tickets to a movie called midnight sun and buy some popcorn and then we go in.
-
"do you think we watch too many movies?" i ask when we walk out the theater.

"yes, way too many." madison says and i let out a chuckle. i don't actually mind what we do, as long as i'm close to her.

it's getting late so i drive her home. i pull up at her driveway and stop the car. madison is about to step out but i pull her back and kiss the top of her head.

she blushes and then steps out for real. i watch her go inside before i start driving home.

i have to plan a proper date so i can ask her to be my girlfriend. we're not officially together yet, and i need it to be perfect when i ask her.
