marcus' pov ||

i'm setting the table and making some dinner. i don't have time to take madison out to a fancy restaurant so i hope this works.

i'm making tacos, of course. i hope she'll like them. i'm done and she should be getting here any minute so i quickly go upstairs to change my clothes.

madison doesn't know i've arranged this date. i made everyone leave the house so we could get some privacy, and then i cleaned the balcony a bit so we could eat there.

the doorbell rings and i take one more look at the mirror. then i run downstairs and open the door with a grin on my face.

"hey there gorgeous." i say and give madison a kiss. then i lead her in and close the door behind her.

"hey marcus, is anyone home?" she asks and looks around.

"nope. follow after me." i say and go upstairs. i wait by the balcony door for madison before opening it.

she walks out the door and looks around. there's a table with two plates and one candle in the middle.

"wow, this is amazing." she says and turns to me.

"you like it?" i ask and she nods. "i wanted to take you on a date but didn't have enough time so i hope this is good enough."

we sit by the table and start eating. i'm really proud of myself, i must say. i almost never cook so this is an achievement.

about half an hour later we're sitting on a bench in the balcony and looking at the stars. it's getting cold so it's good there's some blankets out here.

i keep glancing at madison who's looking up to the sky. i'm getting kind of nervous. it's not that hard, just one question.

i stand up and lean against the fence of the balcony and look to the horizon. madison stands up and comes next to me.

"madison?" i start and turn to her. "i really like you, and umm... do you want to be my girlfriend?" i bite my lip.

"yes marcus, i'd love that." she says. i smile and put my hand on her cheek. then i lean in and kiss her lips softly.

we end up spending a few more hours out here just laying in each other's arms and talking and everything. a perfect night.
