The car ride is silent. Nothing to be heard but our breathing and the soft playing of the radio.
I know I hurt Aiden saying it's not a date but I don't know why considering it really wasn't.
We pull up to my apartment and he gasps
You live here?"He asks shocked
"Yeah" I say
"Are you loaded or something?" He asks
"That's kinda rude to ask" I mutter
"Just answer Gabriella" he says
"No I'm not okay but yeah I'll admit I make good money but I'm not Kardashian wealthy" I reply and he rolls his eyes not believing me
"If I would've known I would've taken you a fancier restaurant" he replies with attitude
"What?" I asked shocked
"Is that why you are always mean with an attitude? Because you think you're entitled because your rich?" He spits
"I'm mean with an attitude because you're a fucking asshole. Yeah I might have a shit load of money but guess what? I work for that fucking money. Everything I have is because I worked for it period. So don't you dare try to insult me right now" I growl at him before getting out of the car and slamming the door and heading to my building
"Gabriella wait I'm sorry" Aiden says running after to me
"No leave me alone this is hopeless all your apologizes mean nothing because in the end all we do is fight we can't be friends!" I yell
"Yes we can Okay I'm sorry I'm such an asshole okay I didn't mean to judge you like that I had absolutely no right and I'm sorry" he says
"Look Lets just forget it okay? We don't need to be friends I'll just be your tutor and that's it I reply
"No Gabriella-yes I say cutting him off
"It's for the best so please just stop" I reply
"Fine" he says flatly
"I'll see you at the library tomorrow?" I ask
He just nods before getting back into his car and driving off.
When I get inside my apartment I sit on my bed, what the hell just happened?
NEXT DAY AT THE LIBRARY
"So when writing you always need to start off with an interesting hook to capture the reader" I explain to Aiden
"Why" he asks
"Because would you wanna read something that starts off boring?" I ask
"I hate reading in general" he grumbles and I roll my eyes
"Hey baby" a voice interrupts
I look up to see a tall blonde girl with hazel eyes. Figures.
"Hey" Aiden replies awkwardly and she leans into kiss him and I immediately look away
"Who's this?" She tries asking sweetly but I can hear the hint of bitchiness in her tone
"Oh this is Gabriella my tutor, and this is Melissa a girl I know" he says and her smile instantly falters from him addressing her that way and we just smile falsely at each other
"So are you ready? My roommate is gone so this the perfect opportunity she says seductively kissing his neck and I want nothing more then to punch her flat in the face
"Yeah let's go" he says and my heart drops
"See you around Gabriella" Aiden says not meeting eye contact and the girl glares at me and they walk out together hand in hand.
"Don't mind him, it's just Aiden being Aiden" a voice says next to me causing me to look up to see a tall guy with blue eyes and two other guys standing behind him
Damn they're all hot.
"Oh no it's not like that I'm just his tutor" I say
"Oh so you're the tutor" he asks
"Uh yeah, and you are?"I ask
"Oh sorry I'm chase and this is Daniel he says referring to the hot guy with brown hair and eyes, and this is Tom he says referring to the other hot guy with the black hair and blue eyes, were friends of Aidens" he says
"How unfortunate" I say with a laugh but instantly regret it
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that I just meant-it's okay babe we know Aiden isn't the most pleasant person to be around sometimes" Tom says cutting me off while laughing and I just smile and agree
"Aiden was right though, you sure are a feisty one" Daniel says with a wink
"You have no idea" I say with a laugh and they smile
"So we're having a party tonight, you should definitely come" chase says
"Oh I don't know about that" I say
"Oh come on it'll be fun and you can bring someone too if you want" Tom says
"But only if they're as hot as you" Daniel says with a wink making me laugh again
"Mm well what time" I ask
"9:30" chase says
"Okay I'll think about it" I say and they cheer
"Awesome okay here are our numbers chase says and they all give me their numbers
And we'll text you the address okay?" Chase says and I just nod
"See you tonight Gabriella" Daniel says with a wink and they all get up and leave
