"Ugh what a day I'm beat" I say plopping in the couch
"So you and Daniel huh?" Victoria asks
"Yeah why?" I ask looking up at her
"Are you sure you like him that way?" she asks
"Yeah why?" I asked confused
"I just thought I don't know never mind" she say walking to the kitchen
"No say it" I say and she sighs
"Aiden likes you" she says and my eyes widen
"What?" I ask and she nods
"He told you that?" I ask
"Well no but- but no nothing you can't just say things like that Vic" I snap and she recoils
"It's obvious Gaby the way he looks at you and I saw his face when you were with Daniel and then when Daniel announced you're guys date he looked heartbroken" says causing me to scoff
"What a load of shit" I say walking away into my room
"Gaby I'm serious I'd never lie about something like that" she says following me
"You miss interpreted them" I say
"No I didn't. Did something happen? Why were you being so cold with him today?" she asks
"Nothing happened" I say
"Stop bull shitting me I know you, come on we're best friends for a reason now spill" she says sitting on my bed
I sigh and take a seat next to her
"At first we were having a great time laughing and joking around but then some girl came. The same one that Aiden left with to go fuck after our tutoring session and she asked why we were there together if I was just his tutor and instead of saying we're friends he still addressed me as just his tutor like he was embarrassed of me. So I told her she had it all wrong and that we just ran into each other, and then I left" I say
"Maybe he was just caught off guard" Victoria says defending him
"Oh my god Vic I'm so tired of you always defending his shitty actions you're supposed to be my friend remember?" I snap
"Oh my god I'm not I'm just saying I understand him okay, it's clear he likes you but he doesn't know how to handle those feelings because he's never had a serious girlfriend before" she says
"Well I don't care okay, him and I are just never gonna happen I've already been knowing that for awhile now but I always thought we could at least be friends but nope of course we can't because he's to much of an asshole unfortunately" I say
"Yeah you're right you guys can't be friends because you're meant to be so much more"
she says angering me even more
"I'm done with this conversation" I say walking towards the shower
"Yeah of course you are because you can never just admit how you feel" she snaps taking me back and that's when I snap.
"How I feel?! You wanna know how I feel?! I feel like an idiot that I even have feelings for the guy! He's nothing but a player so excuse me if I don't feel like having my heart broken again!" I shout
"You're not gonna have it broke again He's not Andrew!" She yells and I flinch
"You should go" I say on the brink of crying
She gets up and snatches her things and slams the door on her way out
I get into the shower and cry my eyes out alone.
Aiden's POV
Loud knocking from my front door wake me up instantly
Who the fuck could that be?
I get up and slip on some clothes before walking to the door
I look into the peep hole and see Victoria standing there
What the fuck?
I open it to be greeted with her angry face
"Uh hey what are you doing here?" I ask awkwardly
She rolls her eyes and pushes past me and sits on my couch
I close the door and look at her skeptically
"Sit" she demands and I immediately obey
"What's your intentions here?"She asks but I just look at her confused
"With Gabriella?" she says
"I don't know what you're talking about" I say and she glares at me
"Cut the shit. I know everyone else is to dumb to see it but not me. What do you want from her? A quick hook up? Friends with benefits what?" She asks
"No no of course not" I say
"Well then what? And don't you dare say just friends because it's clear you have feelings for her" she says and I sigh
"I do like her"I say and and she nods
"But it's never work" I say
"And why the hell not?" she asks
"She's with Daniel" I say and she scoffs
"She's with Daniel because you're to much of a pussy to step and admit how you feel about her" she says taking me back
"Well damn thanks" I mutter and she sighs
"I'm sorry I don't mean to be a bitch it's just me and her had a fight so I'm not in the best mood right now" she says sadly
"What? Why?" I ask and she sighs
"You have to promise you won't tell anyone"she says and I nod
"I'm high school Gaby was dating this guy Andrew" she says and I nod signaling to keep going
She was head over heals for this guy, especially since he's the only guy that ever showed interest in her" she says confusing me
"What? But she's hot" I say and she laughs
"She wasn't always, in high school she was very overweight so yeah No guys really gave her attention" she says sadly and I just stay quiet waiting for her to continue
"So anyways for her senior year of high school him and his family moved here but they still continued their relationship just long distance" she says
"He lives here?" I asked shocked and she nods
"Has she talked to him?" I asked
"No, he lives in Long Island so doubt she'll ever run into him again" she says
Good.
"So after she graduated she was already planning to come to New York to be with him, but one day he texted her and dumped her because he met someone else. She was absolutely heart broken" she says
"Are you serious?" I ask
"Yup"she says
"What an asshole" I say angrily and she nods in agreement
"After that was when her depression finally took over" she says shocking me
