        Hello, readers of Otaku Magazine! This is Sleepy (aka SleepyNinjaa) doing this part of the 5th Issue! Unfortunately, the person who used to do this part must have her studies so, as one of the Back-ups, I had to do the Vocaloid part! But don’t worry! I have great ideas and you won’t be disappointed by my work. I can guarantee you that!

        Today we’ll talk about a vocal from Gumi which is called Clean Freak. The music is original and the video is extraordinary as well. I can say that this song is one of my favorites of Vocaloid- not to mention that Gumi’s voice is amazing.

        The general idea is about a clean freak who lives in a dirty world and is cleaning every single dirt which gets in his way. Though, the lyrics are trying to say something more than a usual clean freak. The lyrics are talking about everyday life and all the problems everyone is going through.

        In general, the main idea is about the lies we are surrounded of, the meaning of the word “friendship” to the most people out there and the ideas that are going through a teenager’s mind. Nothing is clean in this world, everything is stained with lies and fake smiles, nonexistent feelings towards friends and false values we are taking too serious. Why is everything like this? Why can’t they be simple, true things that we can rely on?

        Those questions are torturing everyone who is hearing this song and is realising about our “true” lives that are nothing but just trash. The protagonist in the video is taking all the paper balls that are making his world dirty and is throwing them in a basket. This shows the false things in our lives (paper balls) that need to be thrown away, to be deleted from us and never being used or mentioned again (basket). This message is very valuable for helping us realise the lies we are surrounded from and needed to be thrown away for a better and truthful future.

        No need to say that Gumi’s voice is excellent and also, there is an English dubbed video made from Jubyphonic which is as awesome as ever.
