❤Fangirl Mania - Tokyo Ghoul ❤

Occasionally there is an anime, that, when an episode premieres, all the otakus out there all stop and slowly turn their eyes upon it awe. The anime we're talking about today? Tokyo Ghoul, a show that, since only a few days ago, has only had one episode. Of course, more are to follow, but it is this brilliant first episode that is already making tons of otakus giggle with delight.

It begins brilliantly, with a splash of blood, murderous screams, whispers and news reports of mysterious flesh-eating creatures, and instant action. After a rather sudden cut-scene from a woman eating a man's insides to a peaceful coffee shop, we meet our protagonist, Ken Kaneki, a rather simple bookworm of a boy.

Of course, this little reader has a crush. After scoring a date with the most beautiful girl he's ever seen, his possible new girlfriend asks him to walk her home, for she is worried. Her apartment is supposedly smack dab in the center of the areas in which the murderous ghouls have been shredding apart and feeding upon their prey. He, of course agrees. It is during this walk home that his life changes forever.

Why does this hamburger taste vile? What happened that night? Why do I feel this way? Am I a...? No. I can't be.

        A ghoul?

Ken finds himself beconed to taste the blood of 'fellow' humans. As a matter of fact, he has an undeniable lust to gnaw up every human in his path. He's starving. Why can't he just eat, say, sushi? It makes him sick. Tastes like dirt.

I know, I know. A wonderful start. This will no doubt be an uber-popular and downright good show, and, boy am I excited to see the rest.

Also, the animation is to die for. (No pun intended.) Oh, well.

That is all I have to say, and I bid thee farewell,
