◄ Interview with Cryptic_Eyes, the NaLu writer ►
Sleepy: Firstly, I would like to ask you: Do you enjoy writing?
Cryptic: Haha, I do. It's my favorite thing to do besides read. I always think how cool it is that you can make up a whole world, a whole universe, just for entertainment. Not just entertainment for other people, but for yourself. Writing is a way to let go; to experience true freedom. You are your own creator, and you can do anything you want in your own stories. Who wouldn't like to write? I mean you do have to have patience, but who doesn't want that freedom? It's a truly amazing thing, something I will always love to do.
Sleepy: And since when did you start creating those imaginary worlds? When were you interested in start writing fanfictions?
Cryptic: Oh man...when did I start? Well, I suppose I first started writing in fifth grade. Man, that was a long time ago! I just wrote silly things, like little romance scenarios and random words for different worlds. See, I read Warriors by Erin Hunter through middle school. SO OBSESSED, let me tell you. I was one of those Warriors fan who drew their own OCs and such, you know? I did that for three years; I was pretty good at it, I must say. c;
Anyways, since fifth grade, I've slowly made writing an obsession of mine. It wasn't until I started writing fan fictions that it really took off, however. I got inspiration to write them with Inuyasha at first. I took off my Inuyasha fan fiction, and replaced it with "Fairy Tail: Sacrifices (A NaLu Fanfiction)" my very first NaLu fanfic that started it all. So since then, NaLu Fan Fictions and original works is what I call my road to success. I plan on becoming a full published author soon!
Sleepy: So your writing skills started blooming at such a young age! Are you proud from what you have achieved from writing stories on Wattpad? What is more precious to you?
Cryptic: Yes, they did. c: I am very proud of myself. I have come a long way since my days writing on paper, and it astounds me just how much. But of course, there is always room for improvement, so I still have a lot to learn. c:
What do you mean, what is more precious to me?
Sleepy: Ah, sorry, I didn't explained it well. What is more precious to you from the things your readers are offering to you?
Cryptic: What they're offering me? As in comments and such?
Sleepy: Yes, but things such as feelings too.
Cryptic: I suppose I understand the question...well, my fans are precious to me in general. Though I have quite a bunch of them, I treasure all of them so much. Because without them, I wouldn't be here today. Whether I get a comment about the story/chapter or about something else, I feel complied to answer, because I owe them at least that much for all the things and all the support they've given me.
Sleepy: Does being a famous writer on Wattpad has its ups and dows? And if yes, what are those?
Cryptic: Of course it does. (still squirming in happiness from being called famous omg) There are a lot of downs to it, but I suppose I accepted them as soon as they started happening. For one, you have all kinds of readers for your stories. And you have to deal with all of them; whether they're rude, insensitive, nice, or shy. I've learned to make the best of the situation, and just be nice to all commenters and only be rude and defending of my story only when it's necessary.
