The first period dragged on slowly, my head hurt still from Saturday. I can't live like this anymore. I should run away, this time I'll actually leave. I'll steal money from Charlie and fly somewhere new. Somewhere where no one knows my name. I'll go somewhere he'll never find me. I decided I'd leave this weekend, but I don't know where I'll go. Ireland, England, Australia; I just need a place. Or maybe I'll throw a dart at my map and go where ever it lands. Should I say goodbye to Jim and Ashley? Or Alice and Rose? I know if I say goodbye I can't leave, my will power isn't that strong. But there was something else that held me here. Something I didn't know I wanted or was missing.
The rest of the day I was almost happy, well more anxious then happy. This weekend I am leaving, and never coming back. I talked with Alice in Fashion about a shopping trip this weekend. She kept insisting it was in Sunday instead of Saturday.
"But Sundays are better because everyone is at church or at home with family." Alice whined.
"Ok fine. Fine. We can go Sunday." I grumbled returning to my book. I had long since finished my fashion line, so I really had nothing to do. Alice returned to her sketches, restarting and replacing various pieces.
Ashley and I eat lunch with Jim who isn't paying any attention to us, just his essay that he didn't finish.
"Well well well, looks like Jimmy didn't finish his essay." Ashley snickered
"For the last time, my name is not Jimmy. It's Jim."
"Can I call you-" Ashley tried again.
"No."
"Aww Jimmmeh. You're no fun." I pouted.
"Oh shut up and eat your tator tots." Jim rolled his eyes. I laughed throwing one at his head. I'll miss this.
"Oh my god oh my god. The Cullen girls are coming over. Oh my gods I can't breathe." Jim fangirled.
"I'm going to pretend you never said that." I shook my head.
"Jim your gay is showing." Ashley muttered.
"Hello Ashley. I was wondering if we could steal Nichole away for a bit." Alice asked nicely. Rose smiled down at Jim who looked like he was about to pass out.
"Not a problem. I have to help Jimmy here fix this sorry excuse of an essay." Ashley smiled standing up, pulling Jim with her.
I followed Alice and Rose back to their table quietly. The entire cafeteria was watching us. I got looks of jealousy and admiration, I was accepted into the "Cullen Cult" as most people liked to say. Alice sat me down between her and Emmett, meeting my glare with a smirk.
"Hi Nichole." The boys chorused
"Hi guys." I smiled shyly. Everyone seemed to push their trays of untouched food at me all at once. "You aren't hungry?" I asked confused.
"Naw, Esme and Carlisle have us on this weird diet. Esme doesn't want us eating the school food." Emmett shrugged putting everyone's tator tots onto my tray. At least you get fed at home.
"So what's it like living under the Sheriff's roof?" Edward asked carefully like he knew something he shouldn't. Don't be paranoid, how would he know?
"Nothing is illegal until you get caught." I shrugged popping a few tator tots in my mouth.
Everyone laughed agreeing like they all shared a secret. Emmett threw his arm around me saying "I like you." Alice nudged me under the table with her foot grinning at me. I didn't even notice Emmett's hand drop from my shoulder to my waist; I got too interested in Jasper's conversation about American history. His detail in the story was amazing, like he was there experiencing it. Alice called Jasper a history geek and I guess she was right.
