Every night for the rest of the week was spent doing the same thing, talking to Emmett. The next morning when I told Alice about the date she wouldn't shut up the entire drive to school. I had become close friends with Alice along with Rose. Although my social life was rapidly changing for the better, my home life was changing for the worse. Charlie had been moodier lately and the daily beatings got worse. He was also more paranoid than often, which was strange because he had most of the town bowing at his feet for being the reliable Sheriff.
Friday morning approached quickly bring extra anxiety with it. As much as I didn't want to stay here with Charlie, I also didn't want to spend the entire weekend with Alice in the fear of exposing a bruise or six. Fortunately for me Charlie realized that it hurts more when he kicks my back or stomach. I swear if I grow old I'll have the worst back and the worst internal organs.
I rubbed my eyes driving over with Alice to the Cullens house because I had stared at my map trying to decide where to away to. I had my heart set on choosing between England, Ireland, and Australia. But then I got to thinking, if I was a missing person (assuming I would be reported) they would try to find me and in those three: authorities could take me back. So I researched countries the US can't extradite from and decided to choose from there. I instantly fell in love with Morocco, Maldives, and Cote d' Ivoire (Ivory Coast). Charlie hates staying somewhere it's hot all the time, so these would be perfect.
All Alice talked about today was what we would do this weekend. She wanted to dye my hair, cut my hair, do my nails, change around my wardrobe, and watch the new movie down in Port Angeles. I accidentally agreed because she was holding out a really good looking sandwich to me and I didn't really hear what she was saying. I groaned internally when she repeated all of that later.
We walked into the Cullen house laughing at some stupid joke Alice made in the car. Esme greeted us at the kitchen door ushering a plate of cookies and chocolate milk into Rose's hands. We ran upstairs before the boys got home to steal our cookies. We ate our snack while watching America's Next Top Model. We laughed at the girl who fell in her heels and boo'ed when she wasn't sent home.
I showered while Alice went to the store to buy "girl things for the weekend" and Rose helped make dinner. The boys didn't bother us, respecting our distance. I got out of the shower seeing either Alice or Rosalie left the same sweats I wore last time. I slipped the change of clothes left for me and smiled seeing I didn't have any bruises on my face or lower arms to hide.
As soon as I opened the bathroom door I was bombarded by Alice and Rose pushing themselves into the bathroom. "We are gunna give you a hair makeover." Alice grinned.
"Wait what?"
"We are trimming your hair and then we will ombré it." Rose clapped her hands.
"And there is nothing you can do about it." Alice said in a tone that I knew it was final. I sighed sitting in the chair they brought in with them. Rose started blasting music from her phone which I instantly recognized as 5 Seconds of Summer, my favorite.
"You got me obsessed." She grinned. "Michael is my favorite."
"I like Ashton the best." Alice chimed from behind me.
"Calum's my fav." I laughed. "They looked like lesbians when they were younger."
"I also started listening to well just about every band you were playing for me the last time we hung out. Edward is annoyed with me because he likes more of classical and older shit." Rose giggled.
I could feel my head getting lighter as Alice chopped it off just below the top of my ribs. Rose cleared it up as Alice tore into the hair dying kit.
