She smiled at me
As if the stars didn't matter;
As if turning around
Wouldn't make us both shatter. The world was served to her
On a silver platter
Watching the array of colours
And cultures splatter
The rock like
Paint on a canvas. She smiled at me
As my thoughts danced through stanzas
She smiled at me
As I took more chances
She smiled at me
And took my hand during dances. She lights up the night sky
That used to make me horrified.
She sits by starry eyed
And watches the world pass her by.She is the beauty unknown by most
But known to me for I have been lucky enough
To study her and get close
Enough to see her flaws and rough. But the craters and rocks daren't take away
The overwhelming sense of security in the dark
There are cracks that show but they all say
"I've been through it too, but, have you seen the world?
It's art."(Dedicated to e.h.)
