A/n: hello hello again! Since I started my creative writing class two weeks ago, my writing style has changed drastically--and into something I really like. So, for warning, the story is going to be pretty different. Also, I'm getting tired of sticking to the books. I'm gonna rush to the fourth year in the next few chapters, so just a heads up!

After my run in with Malfoy and my detention with McGonagall, I learned more about magic than I had from school. Magic wasn't simply something that you could conjure. It was also something deeply connected to the wizards heart and emotions. I knew I had issues with my emotions and would have to work on them on my own, but I wasn't going to do it for anyone other than myself. I want to become the best witch possible, and to me, that meant learning from books instead of relying on teachers.

It had been a week, since my detention. Harry had told us about the whispering he had been hearing, and it was concerning. It was something only he could hear, which was extremely worrying. How come only he could hear the chilling whispers that lingered in the hallways? What made Potter so much more special than the rest of us? I wasn't jealous, I was simply... curious. Yes, curious.

Not a moment after thinking about Harry did I manage to run into him, along with Ron and Hermione. All there were staring at the wall in complete disbelief, shock.

I had just come from the library and was headed back to my dorms where I noticed what the three were staring at. I stood alongside them, sharing the same shocked expression plastered on their faces.

On the wall, written in crimson red blood read THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS HAS BEEN OPENED. ENEMIES OF THE HEIR BEWARE.

Ron was the first to speak. "What's that thing...hanging underneath?" His voice quivered.

I looked down and saw what he was referring to. It was Mrs. Norris, the cat. Harry stepped towards it, which in my opinion, was extremely dumb. "Shouldn't we try and help--" Harry began.

"We need to leave." I cut in. We had just been in trouble, there was nothing worse for us than be standing here. Unlucky for us, everyone in the whole damn castle decided it was time to come our way.

There was a happy chatter among the people who came from the corridor, but it all died out as soon as they realise the situation, and the dead cat hanging from the wall. I gulped and tried my best to hid behind the groups of people.

"Enemies of the Heir, beware! You'll be next, Mudbloods!" Malfoy. Sometimes, all I wanted to do was walk up to the boy and smack him right in the jaw, that would shut him up. I didn't, though, I was very--very--tempted.

He stood in the front of the crowd, and smiled. How could he be smiling at the sight of blood and an immobile--presumably dead--animal.

Argus Filch came clambering down the hallway, and upon laying eyes on his cat, he went ballistic. I would have done anything to just get to my dorm, avoiding all this mess, but no. I was stuck in it now. Just was I was about to sink deeper into the crowd, Filch screamed at Harry, accusing him of the situation. In all honesty, had I been in his position, I would have accused Harry too. But, I knew Harry. He was more of a wrong place wrong time person than someone who would commit a crime.

Dumbledore stopped the commotion, he was followed by a crowd of teachers. Then, he did something I wasn't expecting. Besides taking the act off the wall, he beckoned for Filch, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and myself to follow him. I wasn't hiding well enough.

Lockhart stepped forward. I really didn't lie this guy. Something about him seemed so off, so perfect... so fake. "My office is nearest." I did not want to go to his office. But, Dumbledore thanked him and that's where we were headed.

In Lockhart's office, the adults came to the deliberation that the cat was petrified. Lockhart brought up some story from his travels to make himself seem all high and mighty, but it was shut down quickly. Filch accused Harry, Dumbledore defended him.

This went on for some time, until Snape interjected. The whole thing was a mess. Eventually, we had been dismissed. The three started heading towards the Gryffindor common room, and I tagged along, I was stuck in this now.

Ron and Harry talked the whole way. I was still wrapping my brain around the situation, seeing if I could think of some sort of explanation. Halfway to the common room, I parted ways with the three.

"I think I've read something about the Chamber of Secrets. I'll see you guys tomorrow, I'm going to the library."

"Won't it be closed?" Hermione said.

"Yes, but I'm sure I'll be fine. This is going to upset me until morning of I can't figure out what it is, you know?" I knew Hermione would understand. I saw a slight smile form on her lip, she definitely understood. "Meet me by the lake tomorrow morning. Before breakfast." I addressed all three, but only Hermione was listening. I said a quick goodbye, then went on my way.

I had spent the entire night in the library and found exactly what I was looking for. The Chamber of Secrets was created by Salazar Slytherin and his pompous ass used it for the purebloods only. I didn't understand the full purpose of the Chamber, but it didn't seem good.

The three met me at the lake. Ron and Harry were tired out of their minds, looked as if they would fall asleep at any moment. "Well?" Hermione asked.

I told them all that I knew, and at that moment, I noticed a light bulb go off in Hermione's head.

"We should make a polyjuice potion and interrogate Malfoy!"

A/n: It's been so long since I've written for this story! Once I got into it, I couldn't stop myself. I'm going to try a schedule out, see how it goes. All I know for now is that Sundays will be my uploading day, but I might update a chapter or two here and there. I hope you liked it!
