A/n: Inspiration for the town came from Goodnight Moon, an asmr youtuber, and her expansive world she created. I suggest checking her out! Also, this is the first update of two/three. The next ones will be out Sunday (hopefully. Maybe Tuesday bc I'm celebrating my 16th this Saturday and Monday is the actual day lol).
A day had passes and Lucius told us he a work meeting in a unique town and told us to come along. He gave us very few details as to where we were going, but told us to dress old fashioned.
I wore a simple, loose, light blue dress that went just below my knees. It had a white lace ribbon around my waist, and short sleeves that went down to my mid upper forearm. It was a comfortable summer dress that perfectly fit the era the town as stuck in.
Draco wore a white button down with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows, his collar was semi spread, a black vest, and dark grey pants. The outfit came with a newsboy hat, which was currently in Draco's hands.
"Should we bring anything?" I asked Draco, he began to think.
A moment later, he spoke up. "Get a bag, an old suitcase, I'll be right back. Oh! And bring some money too."
I looked at his quizzically, but didn't question him. I went to my room and grabbed a bag from their guest closet. I also sifted through my own suitcase and found my pouch of money given to me by my father. I put it into the smaller case, then went to find Draco.
Luckily, I didn't need look for long because Draco came and found me.
"Come on, I have an idea. Follow me, we don't have long. My father is expecting us soon." Draco grabbed my wrist and began to drag me about the house.
"Care to explain your dastardly plan?" I laughed as we sprinted down the stairs.
"Well," he took in a breath, "I was thinking we could take some brooms. We could shrink them and stuff them in that case!" We reached the door to the backyard.
"Draco, you know we can't use magic outside of school."
"I know. That's why I stole this." Draco pulled out his father's wand. I gasped. "I also figured if you used your silencing charm, it wouldn't really count! I know the island we're going to, it has this expansive forest and is told to have a gorgeous waterfall at its center. Come on, we have to see it!"
"I don't know Draco, what if we get caught?"
He grabbed down two brooms from the wall they were hung on. "It's worth a shot, isn't it? All else fails, just say you feared you were going to get rusty and wanted to practice. Come on!" He handed me a broom.
"What about enlarging them? We won't have your father's wand then."
"Then just use the silencing charm. Please, this'll be fun!"
"Alright, fine! But you know I'm not the best flyer..."
"Then we can ride together. We'll carry less and use less magic then." He put the broom he was holding back on its holder. "Don't you want to have a little adventure, (Y/n)?"
"Tacitum," I used the silencing charm, then took Lucius' wand from Draco. I did everything properly for reducio, and despite no sound coming from my lips, the spell worked! I jumped up in excitement and hugged Draco. "I did it!"
"I can't hear you, you know." He laughed.
I revered the spell, and we put the tiny broom into Draco's pocket. "No need for the suitcase?"
"No, I thought the broom may have shrunk a little, not as much as it did," he chuckled. "I'll put it away."
"Where did you get such an antique suitcase anyways? It's got an NS on it, and an odd lock that says... Actually I can't really read what it says. Worthy?"
