[I was listening to this song and I realized how... perfect it was for Emma. How perfect... it's so...
Sorry. It's just amazing. Well, not amazing, but I love it. The similarities.]
Vincent shook her awake. "Emma, it's time for breakfast. You've been sleeping for three days."
Emma didn't moved. He checked her pulse for the 15th time. Normal. Awake.
"Emma, please. This is getting annoying."
She sat up. "Oh? I'm sorry, am I an inconvenience?"
"You know I never said that, sweetheart," he grumbled, "but thank god you're moving."
Emma didn't respond, but she slid out of bed.
"Please get out," she whispered.
"Wait, what?" Vincent asked, confusion gracing his tone.
Emma shouted, "Get out!"
"You have to promise to get dressed," he crossed his arms as Emma nodded, "and to come down and eat with us."
She hesitated, but her shoulders slumped in resignation. "Good," Vincent scowled, walking out.
Emma raised a hand and locked the door. She had found out how to get Mara's powers: by wearing a black ring that Lucifer presented to her as an 'apology'. It was beautiful, made of intricately etched steel for most of it, but in the center was a big, shiny, black diamond. Because Mara's family apparently didn't know what color was.
There were way over 50 powers, and thankfully, they were perfect for her situation. All she had to do was think of one and point or twirl or shove her hand in the air. Though, most of the time, that didn't work; Emma didn't know exactly how many there were, or what they were, but she had started to add to Mara's list. She was only up to twenty.
"1. Stopping time.

17. Spirits are visible to me (weak, but gets stronger with sleep).
18. Magic (hard to explain. Just, like... lights following fingers?).
19. Hypnotic singing (Considered dangerously strong by gov).
20. Self-inflicted out-of-body experiences."...
"What, she locked herself in?"
Vincent's scowl darkened, and Emily wished she hadn't said anything as she looked back at her breakfast. "Vincent, calm down," Grayson spoke softly, "it wasn't anyone's fault. Definitely not yours."
He calmed down and went to get his breakfast silently. Grayson turned to Emily and shook his head. "Definitely his fault. Didn't know he could be that stupid. How's the wound?"
Emily gave him a weak smile. "It's fine. Sorry that you couldn't heal it without that immense pain."
He smiled back. "Every good deed has consequences."
Emily looked back at her food, but something caught her attention. She looked up, and Emma was entering the cafeteria, dressed in black from head to toe.
