Sparrow tilted her head, glancing back at the photo, her stomach churning with disgust at the bloodied mess that was once a girl named Elvira.
"Elvira," she mumbled, biting her lip and staring at Mara, one of her numerous moms.
God, her life was getting confusing.
"She's...?" Sparrow paused, hearing the noise of a motorcycle in the distance, watching the women in front of her tense up.
"Ophelia, Elise, and Cicero's mother," Mara said flatly.
"B-But, her corpse looks so young..." Evan whimpered, looking at the phone over Sparrow's shoulder. Mara went quiet, giving Vera a side-eyed glance.
Vera sighed, uncrossing her arms. "Magic." She said with jazz hands, her tone and facial expression not matching the jazz hands at all.
"Magic, of course." Sparrow sighed, shaking her head and rolling her eyes, slipping her phone back into her pocket. "When is it not magic?"
"Like, zero out of ten times. It's basically always magic." Vera sighed, picking at her short fingernails.
"So... Who here is my mom?" Sparrow asked, casting a suspicious glare over the three girls infront of her.
Vera raised her hand, a smirk on her face as Mara rolled her eyes, her hand going into the air as well, if somewhat reluctantly.
"Me... too?" Emma asked, her tan hand raised partially.
"Well, what about that lady named Jinx I kept hearing about?"
A crash sounded from the kitchen, Mara hissing to the others to get down, but everyone stood still, in shock.
"Yooou called?" A woman with pastel purple hair tied into pigtails catwalked into the room, her hands thrown up enthusiastically as she stuck a pose. She had magenta colored eyes and a pale complexion, donning a bubblegum pink color on her lips.
She wore a small purple dress that hugged her body nicely, along with a pair of busted up sneakers that did not go with her outfit at all.
"Jinx!" Another woman cried, crossing her arms over her chest and frowning at Jinx. She had tan skin, dirty blonde hair, and big brown eyes.
She didn't wear any make-up, and although she was naturally beautiful she had intense under eye bags which distracted you from the rest of her face. She wore a simple black hoodie with ripped jean shorts, her outfit much more coordinated then Jinx's.
"Oh god," Evan sighed, backing away from the duo. "Don't tell me they're also your moms."
"Yeeep!!" Jinx yelled happily, rushing over to Sparrow, holding her face in her hands. "Look at my baabyyy!" She squealed.
"Jinx, leave her alone," The other woman sighed, making Jinx groan and back away. "I'm Gwen. Nice to finally meet you." She walked over to Sparrow, extending a hand which Sparrow reluctantly shook.
At least one of her moms was seemingly normal.
"So... f-five?" Evan stuttered, counting each of the girls. "Five," he murmured, almost bewildered.
"Oh my god," she sighed, drawing her phone out of her pocket, quickly sending a message to the massive group chat full of her and her friends.
'get to my house asap'
'we might finally get answers'
"Who are you texting?" Mara askes suspiciously, glaring at the device Sparrow held.
"None of your business, mom." She snarled.
Evan's phone dinged, and he opened his phone, reading the message to himself.
