There are so many love stories in the world, but how many of their authors have actually been in love? They draw these stories from somewhere, but is it real life or their imagination? If I were to write a love story, aspects of it may be from real life, but the story would be to painful, to emotional, to basic, to complex, to sad, and overall, just to much for me to write. So far, all of my "love stories" have ended, so it wouldn't be a real story if I wrote about it pretending it never ended. I wonder how many authors have based stories based off of relationships with an ex. The unsuspecting reader would have no idea that they are reading about a failed relationship.
Most relationships are so complex, there are events that happened that you can never understand. A story using switching perspectives fills in all of the gaps for the reader, but shows just how much each person in the relationship doesn't know or understand.
