It's funny how close the past is, sometimes. Sometimes it seems as if you could almost reach out and touch it. Only who really wants to?

-Stephen King

"Happy Birthday Sierra" My Mom said hugging me "blow out the candles sweetheart" I looked at the cake blowing out the candles laughing "Happy 23rd Birthday Sierra" my sister said running to my side "Alright close your eyes" my Dad said helping me up to the front if the room. "Ok I am ready" I said "on the count of 3 open your eyes ok?" My sister said hugging me "1......2......3" I opened my eyes I screamed at the top of my lungs falling to the ground my whole family was sprawled on the floor in their own blood a man was standing in the blood he walked to me towering over "Happy Birthday Haley" he said raspy grabbing my hair he stood me up he jabbed a needle into my arm "a very Happy Birthday my dear"...

"NO NO NO" I screamed sitting up grabbing my hair yanking it a young blonde women rushed in trying to calm me down "It's Ok It's Alright It Was Just A Nightmare" she said grabbing my hand I squeezed it tight

"I Wish It Was Just A Nightmare" I sobbed

"It Wasn't" she looked at me troubled "Then What Was It?" she asked I wiped my eyes replying "It Was Reality, What He Did To Me..."
