Stefan, for some reason, thought it was necessary to tell Elena about what happened with Enzo. I don't know if he was trying to get her to pity Damon or what, but now Elena knows and she won't stop asking me if I'm okay.

Honestly? I feel a little better.

Don't get me wrong, I'm devastated over my breakup. I can barely think his name without wanting to shut myself away and cry.

But I'm not as angry anymore. I've accepted my breakup and I've accepted that violence, for once, isn't the answer. I'm free from the anxiety from Stefan and me's kiss. Things can be normal between us again.

I do feel a little guilty about Enzo...but he was trying to kill my sister.

He didn't deserve the beating you gave him.

Maybe that's true, but what happened has happened. I can't change it.

Stefan says Damon took the news about Enzo's "disappearance" well. So imagine my surprise when I walked downstairs this morning to see Luke performing locator spells.

"Damon I know you're out of a friend, but I don't think this guy's the best replacement," Stefan comments from beside Damon. Both are standing in front of the couch where Luke is performing his spells. Luke looks annoyed.

"I don't think this guy's the best at anything if his locator spells are any indication," Damon snaps, crossing his arms before shooting a glare at Luke. "Yo, where's your sister?"

"She's tired of being almost murdered," Luke sassily responds, opening his eyes. "Look I can find anyone anywhere on the planet. There's just something weird with your friend Enzo. I can't get a read."

"Enzo?" I question, making myself known. Damon and Stefan look over at me. "Didn't he go to Cape Horn?"

"He flipped his humanity switch. There should be a body count all the way to the airport," Damon counters. "He didn't say anything last night?"

"He snapped my neck and left me for dead," I relay the lie Stefan told on my behalf. My tongue burns as if to scold me. "I'm just grateful he didn't kill me or Elena."

Damon eyes my shoulder, looking for the twitch that is my tell. I angle myself away from him to hide it.

"Why are you looking for him?" I ask instead.

    Does he actually miss Enzo?

"Gee, I don't know Gabby. Maybe because he's a non-humanity vampire that wants to kill me for killing his girl," Damon remarks with an eye roll.

    Nope.

"Why are you even here?" Damon continues, sipping his drink. "I thought you wrote me off."

I shrug. "I still live here, and you're still an asshole," I remark. I eye the drink cabinet but decide otherwise. It's too early for a drink and I don't want to wallow in my sadness yet. "Besides, Elena's twin bed is only so comfortable."

I look back at Luke. "Is it possible he hired another witch to block you?" I ask, making Luke frown.

"A cloaking spell?" Luke clarifies. "I guess."

"That would mean that he doesn't want to be found," Stefan says, trying to take attention away from it. "So, uh, why don't you just drop it?"

Damon opens his mouth to argue but is promptly silenced by the front door opening and slamming shut. The four of us frown at a shaken Tyler.
