"Who's Ripplestar?" Keith asked. "Our leader." I responded as Ripplestar and Oakfall came up. "So, now another stran-" Ripplestar stopped himself. He looked at Keith and me, then at Sharppaw. "Do you have any more siblings?" He asked. We all looked confused, then Keith awnsered. "Yes. We have Pidge, Hunk, and Allura. There are also two toms my housefolk took in, Lance and Shiro, but they aren't kin. After this, why not go find our father?" I asked. I looked into the forest, and Ripplestar looked hurt. "why not go find our Mother?" Keith asked, confused. "No, I already found her. She's dead." I replied, looking at him. Why is Ripplestar so hurt? Maybe he just feels bad. I was snapped out of my thoughts when Ripplestar said, "I'm going to the moonpool tonight. Keith, we will have your acceptance ceramony now. Come." He said as he ran into the clearing and hopped onto the highstone. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey join beneath the highledge for a clan meeting!" All the cats came under the highledge, Keith ran strait up to the highrock.

"It's rare that any cat gets the leader as a mentor!" I said, walking to my den with Featherpaw. "So, tell me about Pidge, Allura, and Hunk." I said, sitting in front of him. "Well, Pidge is the youngest out of us, she's small, and she has a Chestnut pelt. Allura is the oldest of us, and has a pure white pelt. Hunk is fat, but very sweet. He has a brown pelt, and a mate named Shay." Featherpaw said, laying down. "What about Lance and Shiro?" I asked, curious. "Lance likes to try and get all of the she-cats, and he has a brown pelt. Shiro is strong, and confident. He has a black pelt with a little white spot on his head along with a grey arm." He said, closing his eyes. "Well, I'm tired. I'm going to sleep. See you later!" I said as I walked over to my nest, curled up and slept. I woke up when the morning patrol rushed in. "Ripplestar! The lake and river has gone black!" Hawkshadow screeched. We all ran out of camp and over to the lake. It was as black as Darkpelt's pelt. I sniffed the water, and almost fell in. The water smelt like that smoke that comes from the monsters when they go by. I touched the water, and it stuck to my fur. It made my fur silky and black, but also smell horrible. When I lifted my head, I heard kits howling and hissing along with dog barks. We ran all the way back to camp, and there were four dogs in the clearing. Two were eating kits while the other two were killing warriors. "Featherpaw, follow me!" I said as I ran for my den. Featherpaw caught on to where I was going so he ran ahead and went inside. I caught up to him right as a black-and-white dog snapped its snout at me.
