It's finally Friday, which means we've survived the first whole week! Friday is clubs day so I signed up for the Martial Arts and Archery club. I used to do both things as a kid, but gave them up because I wanted to focus more on soccer. Now I can pick them up again. I was a blue black belt in karate before I dropped it so I was pretty good. I was just a few belts away from the black belt, but you know. Soccer came first. In archery I could hit a bulls-eye now and then, but I would say I was the intermediate level. Anyways, Sarah was the archery club too, so I'm glad I had a friend in that one. I was able to convince Aaron to join the Martial Arts club with me so I wouldn't be alone.

Anyways, all week Aaron and Xavier have been giving me a ride to and from school so I no longer need to take the bus. I still get up at the same time so I can go for a run, but it's been pretty convenient. We're walking out of school as Xavier says,

"Hey, you guys want to go to a party tonight?"

"Hm, what kind of party?" I ask.

"Uh, I don't know. Probably like a standard house party?" he replies.

I look at Aaron. He shrugs.

"Sure I guess?" I say.

"What time does it start?" Aaron asks.

"Uh....." is all Xavier says.

"Did you not ask?!" I yell at him.

He flinches slightly. I'll take that as a no.

"Well text whoever invited you and freakin ask!"

"Geez Ames. Calm down." Aaron says throwing an arm over my shoulders.

I just roll my eyes.

"Hayden says 8pm." Xavier says a minute later.

I nod before I realize I might not have an outfit to wear.

"Hey guys, can we go shopping?" I ask.

"Why?" Aaron and Xavier ask simultaneously.

"Because I don't think I have anything to wear for the party."

"Wow you do not sound like yourself right now." Xavier says.

I punch him in the shoulder.

"Ow! Fine! We'll take you to the mall!" he says rubbing his shoulder.

Aaron just laughs.

"You can't say no to her. Ever." he laughs.

The guys will pick me up at quarter to 8 so I have about 3 and a half hours to get ready. I shower first and out on a mask because I have way too much time. I just throw on a loose t-shirt and sweatpants after and make some food to eat. Why? Because I'm hungry. Isn't that obvious?

Afterwards, I curl my hair. I decide to just leave it down, but put a hair tie on my wrist just in case I change my mind. We didn't actually end up going to the mall because Xavier refused to go before he saw what was in my closet. Very weird request, and put very creepily, but his point was to see if I had an outfit already. Aaron chimed in after too saying he didn't want me to waste money if I already had something I could wear. They made a good point actually.

They looked around in my closet while I did some of my homework and they laid out an outfit for me. It was really nice of them so I gave them some food before they left.

They laid out a slightly sheer spaghetti strap top, frayed denim shorts, a black and white plaid shirt to tie around my waist, and a long necklace with a triangle dangling on the end. Because the top is slightly see through, I decide to also wear a strappy bralette under it as well. For shoes I just slip on some basic adidas sneakers and I put my phone in my back pocket. I know I'm dressing very casually, but it's a house party. It's not fancy or formal, so what do I care.
