kiras pov~ 

its still weird living in assiah. i have so many questions. so many things i still long to see. just thinking of all the wondrous things mother showed father. i want to see them. i want to see the wonders of this world. i sat on the top of the academy clock tower. looking out at the starless, cloudy sky. how i long for the stars. to see such things would complete me. i reached out for the cold breeze, the wind gliding effortlessly between my fingers. this world has always been so effortlessly beautiful.

tap tap tap. boots walked towards me. it's about time. i grinned as i looked back. "oh there you are sister." he slurped on his lollipop. "i haven't seen you in ages. it's about time we had some fun" he twirled his lollipop between his fingers. "shall we" he flung it carelessly aside and grinned.

"of course brother. " i drew my sword and my flames erupted. "are you ready to die" i laughed.

"woah sister, your flames sure have grown, you're so grown up little one" he laughed. he then proceeded to jump at me knocking me off balance but i rolled to my feet at the edge of the building.

"of course animion you're just as stupid as always" i said playfully. i shot a round of flames at him and he easily a dodged them all. "father never was as pleased with you. as he was with rin and i" 

he then jumped at me he nails digging into my shoulders. " i never understood that. i'm more capable than the both of you." he said in his monotone. i tried to shake him off but he clung on and raised his fist to punch me. i closed my eyes and forced my flames onto him. burning him. "must be these stupid flames" he said as he slowly let go.  he then laughed and came at me again his fangs bared. "i must put them out. by killing you" 

i jumped out of the way blocking his multiple attacks with my sword. he bit down on my sword as he jumped at me again. a used all my force to push him back. the blade sliced into the side of his mouth. i flinched as blood poured. he then hit the sword from my hand. and it went flying to the other side of the roof top. his eyes glowed in the darkness, he threw a punch, one then the other then another.i grabbed his arm and throw him downwards. he barely moved but it gave me a chance to leap over and grab my sword. just as i slipping the sword into my palm a huge force sent me off the edge of the building. animion was clinging to my waist. his nails tearing into my clothes, revealing skin as we landed on another roof top.

"you're mean, kira, this really hurts." he said crouching on the rail of the building.

"you're really struggling" i laughed as i looked at him. blood pouring from the sides of his mouth.he wiped the blood on his sleeve and smiled a little. "here i'll make it fairer" i said recovering my sword. my flames flickered out. it was darker on this roof top. i strapped my sword to my back. "okay? "

he nodded. before i could prepare myself he jumped at me again. throwing punches. one hitting me right in the eye and sending me spinning to the floor. he strutted over and crouched next to me. "well that was pathetic." he said lifting my head using my hair. "you're useless with out that sword of yours aren't you" he slammed my face against the concrete. fuck. that hurt like hell. blood spilled from my nose. he went to slam my head again but i gripped the floor and sprung forward. headbutting his stomach.
