Part 1 - In The Light
~Kira's POV~
It's time, years of planning finally coming together. I'm breaking out of this dark cage of despair.
I sneaked through the dark twisted maze, looking behind myself to ensure I hadn't been spotted. I pulled the dark cloak that I wore over my head as I ascended the jagged stairs. A large stone door presented itself in front of me and I pushed it open.
In the room in front of me, a large and unfinished circle was drawn. Closing the door behind me, I stepped into the dimly lit room and pulled out an old and tattered book from under my arms. I picked up a leftover piece of chalk and continued sketching out the complicated circle.
Finally. After months of searching, I'm finally going to find them.Joining the last lines, I pushed the book aside as I prepared for the last step. The blood of a demon. I brought my right hand up to my mouth, biting down into the base beneath my thumb. I then did it to the left, repeatedly biting down viciously until blood poured from the newly made wounds and dripped onto the chalked floor. I pressed my hands to the edge of the circle, my blood being sucked in, the lines becoming bright and illuminating the dark room.
The floor rumbled beneath my feet, small low class demons began to push through the glowing circle as four large pillars raised up, framing the gate I had opened.
With a strong urge of curiosity pulling me forward, I stood up, checking my sword was still on my back before the gate painfully but quickly consumed me, sucking me under the surface. Struggling was to no avail as I was pulled into an eerie darkness. It felt like hours before I could see the light. Lifting up my cut hand, I reached for it. My fingertips glowing as the light came closer towards me. In a flash, I was suddenly thrown from the darkness of the gate that I came through into the brightness of the new world. Almost blinding.
It took a while for my eyes to adjust to the light. It was so cold. All I could see was an endless white. A town painted itself in the distance before my very eyes. I made it.
I finally made it.A smile spread across my face as I looked up at the grey sky which poured out pure white, landing on my face. It was freezing. Pressing my wounded hands to the whiteness, it melted beneath my glowing blue palms. My flames grew, engulfing my whole body within less than a minute. They seemed so much stronger here.
I stood up slowly, legs trembling in weakness. It must have been that fall from the gate. I staggered towards the town that I seen in the distance, my flames leaving a trail of melted snow behind me. I secured my hood over my head as I came closer to the town, trying to go unnoticed. Although, that's kinda hard when you're covered in blue flames, I guess.
It only took one minute for someone to notice me and start screaming. Soon there was a whole cluster of people screaming at the sight of me, all of them running in separate directions to flee from my flames. I continued walking regardless. I'm here to find my brothers, not to play around with scared humans. I'm here for Rin and Yukio. I continued walking past the scared civilians as they were of no interest to me. My heart was set on finding the Academy. True Cross, or something. My legs were still weak but I knew I had to continue either way. Suddenly, I heard a branch snap behind me. Whipping my head round, I looked for the source of the noise.
"FIRE!"
My instincts quickly came into play as I jumped out of the way to avoid the blast. I could see a large group of exorcists, aiming guns at me. They shot again but it was no use, I caught the bullet between my finger and thumb. I rolled the small pistol in my hands, inspecting it. It was made of silver. These would probably do a number on normal demons. Ha, I'm not even a demon...too bad. I threw the bullet over my shoulder and continued walking.
