~Rin's POV~

We walked home after the fight with the demon and it was getting pretty late. I found myself being strangely quiet and deep in thought. I know, shocker. Yukio strode slowly, Kira clinging onto his arm. There was something familiar about that. She was truly amazing, she could defeat a demon independently. Kinda made me feel a bit useless. Both Kira and Yukio are much higher classed exorcists than I am and they can both do so much better than I can. Maybe I am useless.

We arrived at the dorm, Yukio unlocking the door and letting us in before him. Kira happily skipped past Yukio and switched to clinging onto my arm. "Rinny, what's for dinner tonight?" she smiled up at me.

"Uh..." I took a moment to think but couldn't really decide. "I don't actually know, what would you like?" I smiled back.

"Hmm...how about ramen noodles? They're my favorite," I laughed a little and she pouted. "Hey, what's wrong with noodles?"

"Nothing, they're just really simple. That's all." She blushed a little. "But don't worry, I'll make you some if you want," I said and watched her face light up with glee.

"Thanks so much!" she said as we reached my room. I put my sword down and kicked off my shoes, putting my blazer on the back of the desk chair as Yukio walked in.

"I'll be going for a rest, Rin. I'll get some dinner later," Yukio said as he hung up his coat on the back of the door.

"Okay," I replied and went to start making the dinner for Kira and I. Kira trotted ahead to the kitchen and I looked at Yukio who was lying on a slump in the bed. "Yukio, she is a lot stronger than me. Maybe it'll be a lot more difficult than we first thought."

"Hopefully she's a lot smarter than you as well," he smiled.

"SHUT UP FOUR-EYES! I am smart. I'm just more hands on." I said dismissively, walking towards the kitchen to get Kira.

"You seem pretty pathetic to me," he said underneath his breath.
"Really? How about now?!" I said, coming nose to nose with him and pulling his glasses off of his face.
"Who's the pathetic one now? Can't even see, can ya?!"
"Give them back! Rin, hey!"
"Oh, now you're mad. Ha, you're useless without your glasses," I laughed, putting on the glasses and blinking through the blurry lenses. Anger clearly built up inside of him, so much so that I could even see it through the glasses. He grabbed my shirt and pushed me over, making me roll onto the floor, him pinning me down. "Yukio, get off me! It's not that serious," I shouted and struggled as he pinned me. When did he get so strong?

Just as I started shouting, the door swung open and revealed Kira with Ukobach."What do you want?!" Yukio shouted at her, very uncharacteristically. He then realised what he'd done and tried to cover his tracks, "Sorry, Kira, we were just having an arg-" Kira cut him off by swinging a fist down on the top of his head.

"You idiots! Don't fight over pointless things," she then kicked me in the side. I groaned in pain, "And you! Don't piss off your brother." She was yelling, acting almost like a mother. "I'm so happy to see you," her eyes shone as she hugged us both. "You're both so stupid."

"Wow, bi-polar much?" I said quietly, hoping she didn't hear.

"Sorry, Kira. Won't happen again," Yukio said.
"Yeah, sorry."
Kira drew back out of the hug, "It better not. Now lets make some noodles, I even got Ukobach to help," Ukobach smiled from atop her head. She grabbed my hand and began dragging me out, "Yukio, get some rest. You might have lost some brain cells in that little rampage."

He looked as angry as before, scooping up his glasses that had somehow found themselves on the floor. "Brain cells multiply faster than you can light up," I heard him say under his breath, laughing a little to myself. Hopefully Kira didn't hear that one.Kira held my hand her small feminine fingers intertwined in mine, making me blush as we walked down the corridors. I looked up at Ukobach who was sitting on top of Kira's head and he gave me a grin and winked. I looked back down, embarrassed. "Kira?"
"Yeah, Rin?"
"What's it like in Gehenna?"
"Gehenna? Why would you like to know?" she turned around briskly and started walking again.I followed, "I mean, you lived there. What was it like? Was it nice?" I said, nervously trying to find a way to get her to talk.
"Nice..." she laughed a little, "It's Gehenna, you idiot. Of course it's not nice. It's filled to the brim with demons, no laws, no rules. Survival of the fittest. Truly barbaric. It's not nice," she huffed just as we reached the kitchen, Ukobach jumping down onto the table as she stormed past into the cooking area.
I grabbed her hand. "Kira, I..." she stopped, still facing the opposite way. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring back any unwanted memories."
