It was Christmas and I sat in the living room with Riley in his arms. Ayden was sat with Leah and Seth who were eating.
"Alright present time. Let's go. Seth, Leah stop eating. Jake you start." Jake hands Nessie a present and she opens it. A woven bracelet. Leah hands a similar one to Ayden but his colours are blue and black.
"Dad we didn't have time to wrap yours but here it is." Bella hands him and envelope. "It's a five day trip to Frazer river. It's for you and Sue" Bella tells him.
"yes and ours in a whole new fishing set for the fishing trip. It's in your room already to go" I chirped
"You leave tomorrow" Edward adds
"wow that's really nice thank you. Tomorrow i can't do tomorrow"
"i made arrangements for you at work" Sue replies walking in
"sneaky and extravagant."
"and non refundable I'm afraid"
"you trying to get rid of me" there was a tense pause "cause it's working" he chuckled
"Frazer river that means we'll be chasing cutthroat" he smiles and i go over to Ayden
"hey, Leah get you that" he nods
"it's cool"
"want help putting it on" he gives me the bracelet and i fix it on his wrist.

It was the night before the battle and everyone was outside around a campfire while i was in one of two tents with Ayden. i pulled up a chain that had two rings on.
"They're are a replica of mine and your father's rings. each has an inscription on. 'Our son' 'our life'" i dropped them into his own hands. he looks up at me
"you are my life Ayden and i want you to know me and your father love you so much" I stroke his hair.
"i love you too Mom, more than my own life" i smiled softly.
"i need you to do something okay. Tomorrow you need to stay with Leah. even if i tell you to leave. Promise" he nods and i can see tears forming.
"shhh it's okay shhhh" i hold him and kiss his head. i hope we wouldn't be separated tomorrow.

We walked onto the field with everyone, Ayden clutching onto mine and Riley's hands. when we stopped we waited until we heard the approaching. from out of the forest the guard, with Marcus, Caius and Aro leading. all in black all with evil intent.
"the red coats are coming, the red coats are coming" i heard Garrett behind me. In one long line they approached us the broke off into small groups.
"Aro's looking for Alice" Edward muttered. I also saw Irina who was guarded as she approached us. The wolves howled as they made themselves know both the black and Uley pack came out in wolf forms. Jake and Leah going to their imprints families. The Volturi stopped and removed their hoods. Carlisle stepped forward to 'greet them
"Aro let us discuss things as we used to. In a civilise manner" Carlisle started
"fair word Carlisle, but a little out of place given the battalion you've assembled against us" Aro replied
"i can promise you that was not my intent. No law's have been broken"
"we see the children, do not treat us as fools" Caius seethed
"they are not Immortals! these witnesses can attest to that. Or you can look see the flush of human blood in their cheeks.
"Artifice" Caius declares. Aro holds up his hand
"i will collect every facet of the truth. But from someone more central to the story, Edward as the child clings to your newborn mate. I assume you are involved. And the newborn woman that clasps the second child in protection" i look at Edward and he nods. I kiss Ayden's head and touch Riley's cheek before the two of us walk forward.
Aro holds out his hand and Edward take it first. I then give him my hand as he reads me. i can feel his power flick through my memories. he then let's go.
"I'd like to meet them" we look back to our mates Riley takes Ayden's hand and he starts to walk with Leah behind him. They stop and Emmett comes along to until they reach us. He looks at my son and niece before Bella.
"Ah young Bella. immortality becomes you" he then looks to the children and laughs pointing.
"i hear their strange hearts" Ness looks up at her mother before stepping forward. Ayden does the same and together they hold hands.
"Hello Aro" Nessie says then looks at his hand before touching his cheek. showing him how she was born. he looks in surprise then Ayden shows Aro his perception of his birth.
"Magnifio. Half mortal Half immortal" I pull my son back. "conceived and carried by these newborns while they were still human" he declares.
"impossible" Caius snaps and we turn to go back.
"you think they fool me brother." Leah and Jake growl at them before joining us
"bring the informer forward" i presume Irina was brought forward and i was right. We got back and she was at the front.
"are those the children you saw" he asks pointing to our families and wolves.
"I'm not sure" she replies
"Jane"
"they've changed, those children are bigger"
"then you accusations were false."
"the Cullen's are innocent. I take full responsibility for my mistake...I'm sorry" she whispered the last part before she was killed
"Caius now" they broke her in pieces
"Irina" "No" Kate and Tanya yelled as the lit her on fire. they ran forward into attack and i set Ayden on Leah's back.
"Blind them" Edward ordered and Zafrina did so.
"give me my sight back." Tanya said
"Tanya this is what they want. if you attack now we'll all die" Edward tells them and they are released. As Edward walks back to his family Jane reduces Edward down in pain. Bella steps forward to shield us and Edward gets up no longer effected. She looks to all of us then steps forward but is stopped. Alec does the same but is stopped by Aro.
"Aro you see there is no law broken here."
"agreed but then does it not follow there is no danger. For the first time in our history. Humans pose a threat to our kind, their technology has given birth to weapons that could destroy us. maintain our secret has never been more imperative. In such perilous times only the known is safe. only the know is tolerable. And we know nothing of what these children will become. Can we live with the uncertainty. spare ourselves a fight today only to fight tomorrow" he turns to face us
"Alice" Edward says
"Alice" Aro gasps in joy. Alice and Jasper walk to the Volturi and spare us a look before they are stopped by the guard.
"my dear, dear Alice we're so glad to see you here after all."
"i have evidence that the children won't be a risk to our kind...let me show you" she hold out a hand and Aro nods. Alice shoves them out of the way but they hold Jasper back. Aro grasps
