The soldier looked at me through my window smirking.
Alec came running into my room and gasped as he saw what I was screaming about.
He ran to the phone and dialed 911, I ran out into the kitchen with him.
Hans, aka the Nazi trying to kill me, was pounding on the door.
Alec soon got off the phone with the cops and grabbed his bat. "Stand back." He ordered. Hans knocked down the door just as Alec hit him right in the nose. "You little shits!" Hans hissed.
He stood up and avoided Alec's next attack. He pulled out his gun and pointed it Alec, "Rebecca get in my car or I'll shoot him." He snapped.
I ran out into his car and balled my eyes out.
I heard Alec cry for me not to go. I couldn't see him get hurt, and he would take me anyway.
.................................
Hans got into the car and spoke right away. "I just knocked him out, he'll be fine." "You, probably not." He laughed.
I was terrified for my life. He looked at me for a second, but then he took his gun and whacked me with it. Knocking me out.
............
I wake up in a corner of a room, much like a jail cell.A speaker was on the roof, along with some kind of video camera.
"Ah I see you are awake." Hans. He chuckles.
"Your going to wish you were back in the concentration camp when you've been here for a week." He hisses.
"We are very far away from anywhere you know." "Nobody's going to look for you here." He booms.
"Get some sleep, because in the morning your going to need it." He snaps. Then the speaker clicks off.
Tears fall from my eyes as I lay on the uncomfortable mattress, only having a thin blanket to keep me warm.
..............................
I wake up to the familiar sound of air sirens. I wake up horrified jumping up, then remembering I'm not back in Poland.
"Scared you huh?" He barked.
I start crying, I wish he would just kill me already... but no, he has to make me suffer.
...........................
Suddenly the door to my room flies open. In steps Hans, holding a whip.
My eyes widen in horror.
He lashes the whip across my back. The pain soars through my body. He whips and whips me without saying a thing, at the end I am unable to move. My blood pours onto the floor. I lay in a pool of my own blood.
...........................
He left after and didn't come back for a week. The maid brings me tiny bits of food. He's right it's almost as bad as being in the concentration camps. But you don't see innocent people die in front of you, people you care about. I will survive this somehow, just like I've survived everything else.
...............................
"Missed me Rebecca." Hans sneers as he slams the door shut behind him. "I think we have some making up to do huh?" He snaps.
The whip unleashes onto my back, making fresh scars.
"P-p lease s t-t op." I mutter.
He just laughs and hits me harder. I soon black out, saving me for a moment from the pain.
..................
I wake to find that he finally left. I try to the stand but the pain is so strong. I fall back to the ground and sob and sob.
The loudspeaker suddenly clicks on. "Crying isn't going to do you any good dear." He yelled.
...........................
I manage to crawl into bed and sleep until noon the next day. I find to my pleasure Hans isn't here. But I know the whipping will soon continue.
Late January 1946
The pain continues, nothing has changed. Nobody has come to my rescue. I don't think anybody ever will. Today Hans seems angrier than ever. He runs in the door and slams the door harder than ever before."Ugh!" He yells as he paces across the room.
"Your stupid boyfriend went on international news today and told the whole nation about your kidnapping!" He roared. He suddenly picked me up and threw me against the cold stone wall. Fracturing Ribs.
I sobbed as he looked at me. "You were a beautiful young lady, now look at you, a filthy Jew." He snapped. He spit on me and mumbled "Filthy Jew."
He left the room just as quickly as he came in. That night I couldn't even move because of the pain.
Early February
The pain is much better and today I was able to take a peak out my cell window. I found whatever this place is, it's built in some hill or mountain. My window looks out into a valley surrounded by mountains and hills. Perfect place to hide...
.........................................................
I don't think I will ever be found. It's been a few months, I am as skinny as I was in the ghetto and the concentration camp. Hans has been gone lately, I'm guessing the media has picked up on my story. He will come home soon though, he is probably going to finally kill me. Before I'm found...
The maid doesn't talk to me, she only brings me tiny bits of found and leaves. She must be forced to work for Hans.
This morning I heard Hans come in, I woke up right away. Prepared to die.
"Hello again dear Rebecca." He says while grinning. "I think it's time to finally kill you." He chuckles and winks at me. He pulls me out of my room into some room, it has a door that has many locks on it. "This my dear, is my very own gas chamber." He snaps.
....................................................................................
He throws me in and locks the doors as I scream. The maid comes running up to him before he can press any buttons from the other side of the glass. She looks scared and Hans looks surprised and nervous as she speaks to him. I can't hear anything through the class but I can tell something is up.
.........................................................
He turns around and smirks at me as he flips on a switch. Slowly something pure out from small tubes in the room. I back up against the door, weeping. I guess I can finally be reunited with my parents after these past years. After a few minutes the gas starts to back me cry, it's getting stronger. I look out the window but my vision is starting to get blurry. But I make out that people are running in, one shape I know for sure who it is. Alec, he has come to save me.
Suddenly I pass out from the gas effect, at least the last thing I saw before I perish is his face...
