Lucy was okay with Alec moving into our living room until he found a job and his own apartment. Work went good yesterday, and today is the first day of school since the dance..
Today Jack ran toward me as soon as he saw me. "Hey angel, want to go grab some food at the diner tonight?" He asked leaning against the lockers. "Jack... I sorta got back together with my ex boyfriend.... sorry." I admit awkwardly.
.......................................
Jack has been avoiding me, it's actually kind of funny. Those popular guys have never been turned down before, I guess it really hurts their huge ego's. I can't wait, tomorrow is the day Alec moves in. Since today is Saturday I have to work, but I really don't mind. I've been saving money lately, I know I will need some money for attending college even though I still have a couple years.Move In Day
Alec will be here any minute, I am still wondering though.
Can we make it together against the odds? Maybe. Maybe not. Oh, but I sure do hope so
He walks in with the biggest smile over his face, and he trips over the coat rack.
I laugh as the box he was holding spilled out all his blankets and pillows. I offer him a hand and he stands. He soon throws everything into the box. I point to the couch which is about three feet away. He laughs and throws everything onto it.
After about two hours we unpacked the things that would fit. We stuffed the rest in the huge closet nobody uses since it's in the hallway.
As soon as we sit down on the couch; Alec's new bed, Lucy comes in.
"My my, you were telling the truth." She giggles. I roll my eyes and Alec just gives me this weird expression. "This is Lucy, she's my roommate that I told you about.." I sigh. Alec nods and says "hi". Kinda weird so far.
"Well girls I'm off to find a job." He stated, waved; then left.

Lucy and I made some pork chops for dinner, for the special occasion.
Alec came home a little after seven, just in time for dinner.
"I applied to the mechanic shop downtown then looked around a bit more." "They should call tomorrow afternoon if I made it in." He chatted.
I smiled and nodded as we sat down and ate.

Early February
It's been a few weeks since Alec has been here. It's been just perfect, paradise.
Today he moved into a new two bedroom apartment. He is of course sharing it with somebody, he said the guy is in the same grade he is in. Alec got the mechanic job and makes fifty cents an hour! Five cents more than I do. He is really happy, but I'm worried that he will find a girl he likes better than me. But right now he's here with me, and I couldn't be happier.
......................................................
I walk into Alec's new apartment and find no other than Jack. Why? "Angel?" He gasped surprised. "Your Alec's girl..." He sighed. I nodded and walked into Alec's bedroom and shut the door. "Jack is your roommate!" I yell.
Alec looks surprised and nods curiously.
"He was the only guy I kissed while we were apart." I sigh.
Alec laughs. "It's fine Bec." He laughed. He hugged me, "I missed you babe." He flirted while looking in my eyes.
"I'm not your babe yet, we're not dating." I reminded him while rolling my eyes.
"Rebecca Alder will you be my girlfriend?" He smiled saying, down on one knee.
"You know... let me think." I sarcastically said. Alec rolled his eyes and stood up.
"Of course dummy." I laughed as he pulled me into a deep kiss. Full of passion just like always.

Last Day of School Late May 1947I was so excited, I had all summer to be with my best friend and my perfect boyfriend. I was so happy. Even Jack and I became friends, I mean we kinda had to. He's not bad at all. Alec and I are closer than ever before, he buys me chocolate and roses whenever I'm feeling a bit down. He's the best thing that's ever happened to me. Against the odds we are still together.
Jack's POV
I was so shocked, and hurt, that Becca was Alec's girl.
She was the only girl that ever really caught my attention, I planned to make her mine. Now I can't.. I realize they are madly in love. They will probably marry as soon as she graduates high school. I don't stand a chance, but I have taken a fancy to her roommate Lucy. Yesterday we started dating, I realized she's pretty good to...
As for Alec, we good friend, best friends you could say. If it was anyone else I would snatch up Becca and keep her for my own. You can't do that to your best friend though, he's never done anything bad. So I just keep my feelings to myself, I have Lucy now.
Time Jump! School started and now it is Christmas Break. Becca and Lucy are in their junior year, Alec and Jack are in their senior year.
Alec's POV
I couldn't be happier with Becca. Now that I'm eighteen I'm considered an adult, but Becca's only seventeen until next October. I plan to marry her soon after her eighteenth birthday, so nobody else can call her theirs. She will always be mine.
Against all the odds.
Becca's POV
Two days until Christmas, not like I celebrate it though since I'm Jewish. Though Alec and everyone else I know does, so I will along with them. I would rather not be Jewish anyway. I bought Alec this cool watch, since he's always complaining he doesn't know what time it is. I got Lucy a new blouse, for Jack I got him a new jacket. I was really happy... but I've been stressed lately. I feel like something is going to happen soon.
But so far against the odds it hasn't.
So far.
