Run for the Shadows: Bloody Memories (VOL. 1)

Ch 1.

     Summer break is over and today is my first day of being a junior.

     ''Hey mom!'' I say walking down the stairs and looking into the kitchen to see her making breakfast. She is fully dressed in her black and white buttoned up work clothes and has her shoes on. ''Hey! Good morning!'' She says putting down a plate of eggs and potatoes. ''So, are you excited to be a junior?'' She asks sitting down. ''Well, I guess.'' I reply taking a sip of milk. ''I have to go to work early or I would be eating with you. So have a good day and I'll see you later.'' She says kissing my cheek and heading towards the door. ''Alright, you too. I love you.'' I say and she smiles. ''I love you too! And make SURE to wear your pendant!'' She orders and then she leaves. I listen as she gets into her car and pulls out of the driveway, driving away. 

     I look through my clothes and find my school uniform. All girls have to wear a purple and white lace shirt with a purple skirt that has white lace underneath and long black socks. I straighten my long white hair and I carefully put on some mascara and eyeliner, topping it off with black lipstick. I look through my earrings and put on some black onyx studs. In a hurry, I run downstairs, put on my black combat boots, grab my black bag, and head out the door. What a pretty day! I look up at the darkened sky, the wind blows, and rain clouds start to form. I fear it's going to rain and I pick up my pace, only a block away from school, I get there before the rain hits. ''Whew made it!'' I say to myself as I get inside the huge high school. I look towards my right and there are couches and tables along with a small stage. Then I look towards my left to see a huge TV with tables and chairs. I walk towards the cafeteria and stop to see a huge mob of people surrounding the nearest hallway. 

     ''What the heck is going on???'' I ask the girl next to me. She has brown long hair and hazel eyes. She looks up at me and smiles. ''Oh my gosh! You don't know?!'' She asks pointing ahead of the crowd. ''The Great Shinku is here! He is the richest and hottest person here! Almost a prince if you ask me.'' We push through the mob of people. Girls are screaming and guys are pulling their girlfriends away. She grabs my hand tightly and drags me to the front of the ecstatic crowd and soon I am face to face with the Great Shinku. I smile awkwardly at him and then look for my new friend, she is gone. ''Hey, um...'' I say looking into his piercing purple eyes. His purple hair covers his face and his lips look velvety soft. He has on the guys school uniform, black pants and shoes, a white buttoned up shirt, and for him, a fancy black buttoned long sleeved jacket over it. He looks like a prince, more of a Gothic Knight if you'd ask me. He smirks and follows his guards down the hall. I watch him as he gets out of view and then disappears. The bell rings and it's time for class.

     I scurry to my classroom and wait with everyone else to be seated. The girl from the crowd is here! I rush over to her and smile. ''Hey....'' I look at her fancy name tag. ''Miku!'' I hurriedly say and she laughs. ''Hey Hana!'' She replies right before the teacher comes in. ''My name is Ms. Sora! And we will be having a very special classmate, so behave at your best.'' She seems overly excited and then she looks to the door. The great Shinku slowly walks in and all of the girls freak out. ''Alright I am going to seat you all so stay quiet!'' She yells over the loud talking and I look at the long fancy wooden tables that each have two chairs. My heart races as I along with Shinku are now one of the few people left to be seated.  He seems so mysterious and the way he smirked at me before walking away. He is very different, not just that he is rich and almost like a prince, but it's something else. I want to get to know him and not for the same reasons the other girls do. 

      I shut my eyes and the teacher calls my name. ''Hana, you are seated with Shinku, at the far back table over there.'' She points to the table in the way back, no sun, no classmates. My heart skips and I listen as girls gasp and one starts crying. What babies! I watch as I get closer to Shinku and he walks just in front of me, it seems like an eternity, but it's more like 5 seconds. I stare at him and then, my foot hits something, and I slowly start to fall trying to catch my balance. But it's too late, my books fall, classmates gasp, and I fall right into the great Shinku. I gasp as I grab him and he keeps me from falling, he himself doesn't budge from his stance. He holds me tight and I look up at him. ''I'm so sorry, it was an accident.'' I say and he just stares right at me, like he is staring into my soul.
