''I'm so sorry, it was an accident.'' I say and he just stares right at me, like he is staring into my soul. Everyone in the classroom gasps and I look to see what I tripped on, a shoe from a boy with blonde hair, he is laughing. I feel my face get red and I look over at the teacher who is still seating people. I bend down to pick up all of my books and Shinku does the same. We grab every book but one and I go to grab it, but at the same time as Shinku, and our hands meet. I hurriedly grab the book and he hands me the rest of my books. ''Thank you.'' I say as we take our seat. ''You are welcome.'' He says staring at me. I smile and look down. ''So, where have you come from?'' I ask. He shakes his head. ''I'd rather not say.'' He replies giving me a shock. ''Oh, right, I'm sorry.'' I quickly reply. We sit there in silence and his leg softly brushes mine, sending shivers up my spine. He just stares at me the whole time and I sit there awkwardly waiting as each forever feeling second goes by. ''I want to ask'' He suddenly says and I look over at him and smile. ''Do you belie-'' He says unfinished, interrupted by the bell. I go to look at him again to see if he is going to finish his sentence, but he is gone. ''What???'' I ask in shock.

I make my way through the hall towards my locker and I stop to see him at his. I rush up to him. ''Hey! How did you leave the room so fast?! I only looked away for a second and you were gone!'' I say and he looks up at me. ''I had to get to my locker, do you always ask so many questions?'' He asks and I frown. ''Well, I guess...not. I'm sorry, it's just. You left and I-'' He interrupts me. ''I didn't want to be chased by a mob of girls.'' He replies and we laugh. He walks me to my locker and like him I put all of my books in it and we heads towards the large cafeteria. Everyone in the school gasps and watches us as we enter it together. We just ignore everyone and keep walking into line to get our food. Every girl walks up to us. ''Hey Shinku! Oh my God! Will you sign this?!'' A girl asks holding out a notebook that says ''For Hot Guys Only'' I cringe. He declines everyone's request and a few girls walk away with tears in their eyes. ''Are you guys dating yet?'' I hear a guy ask. I turn around to see the same boy with blonde hair looking at us. ''No.'' We both say at the same time. ''Oh, because you would totally be a cool couple!'' He says walking away with a plate of food.

I look down towards the menu of food options. Sashimi, sushi, ramen, kare raisu, or miso soup. Only two of these choices with green tea or water. We are next in line and I look over at him, he smiles. Something is very different with him, his pale skin, fast movement, the way he is on edge, and his eyes. Something about his large purple eyes... I grab a black tray and look at the cook. ''I would like miso soup with sushi and green tea.'' I say and she smiles putting food on my tray. ''Thank you.'' I reply and I wait for him to get his food. He ordered the same as me and I blush. We walk towards a table and I see guards standing on each side. ''Are these your guards?'' I ask him and he nods. I look at all the wooden tables with bouquets of blood red roses. Each table has a white lace cloth over them and about two to ten chairs at each one. There are about fifty tables and each vary in size.

I take a seat and he does the same. The walls each have beautiful carvings of ravens on them and each in a different position. The shiny dark wood floors and black curtains look well together. I take a sip of my green tea and a bite of my sushi. ''Well, before I was going to ask you.'' He says and I look at him. ''I was going to ask you if you believed in devils and vampires.'' I gasp putting down my tea. ''I do, yes. Why do you ask?'' I say bewildered. He chuckles and sighs leaning over and whispering in my ear. ''For my own selfish and curious reasons.'' He says and I stop. ''You never know if you're with one...when you're with one.'' He laughs and sits back down. ''I mean why do you think no one knows about them?'' He asks taking a bite of sushi. ''Your smell, is...enticing.'' I shuffle in my seat awkwardly and confused. We finish our food in silence and put our trays away. He follows right behind me and I can feel his presence, it sends shivers up my spine.
