Once again, Maeve could be found in a beautifull meadow, playing around with flowers. It had been almost 50 years ago since Maeve was changed. Maeve was forever gratefull for the power Hilda had given her. And she had used that power well to get her revenge. Furthermore had she used her gift to let flowers grow, or kill them off. She found her gift beautifull yet at the same time dark. She could give something from nature life, or kill them just by her own will. She had never tried it on a vampire, she was scared she might hurt one of her sisters if she tried.

Slowly the sun was setting and Maeve decided to make her way back home. She had told her sisters she would only be out for a hunt, but then she came across the meadow and she couldn't help but to play with her gift. Maeve almost reached their small cottage when she felt something was off. She hid behind a tree and saw many vampires dressed in dark cloakes confronting her coven. "You are being accused of drawing too much attention with your large, savage coven." A blond vampire said, his red eyes gleaming with bloodlust. "Your accusations are false." Hilda said as she offered a vampire with long, dark brown hair her hand. The vampire took her hand and it stayed quiet for a moment.
"I am affraid my dear that the accusations are true. Your coven has drawn too much attention and we can not let that past." The man said, a maniac smile forming on his lips. Hilda pulled her hand back fiercly. "Liar!" but that would be her last words as soon two Guards ripped her arm off while the blond vampire ripped her head off. Maeve gasped, quickly covering her mouth. "Heidi, my dear. Join us and you will be spared. Along with your dear sister Maeve. Where is she if I may ask?" the man with dark brown hair said. "She left the coven a few months ago." Mary said trying to defend her younger sister. "Tut, tut. It is not very nice to lie. Jane, go ahead my dear." Soon Mary's screams could be heard. Victoria glared at the Volturi. "Run! We have to get away!" Maeve didn't had to be told twice as she quickly began to run away, away from these monsters that killed her sister.
Maeve ran for days until she was sure no one had followed her. She fell down to her knees, shaking and the grass below her turned black. Why did this had to keep on happening to her.

She dry sobbed for quite a while until a sweet scent hit her nose. A vampire. Maeve quickly got up and glared at the stranger. His skin was pale and he had brown hair. His eyes where a blood red and looked at her like she was prey. "W-who are you?" Maeve asked. "My name is Demetri. I am the Volturi's tracker." Demetri said as he smiled at her. Yet this smile was sinister, and not friendly in any way. "Y-you killed my coven!" Maeve shouted, feeling more couragious than she truly felt. "They broke the rules. But my masters are quite forgiving. Join us and you shall be spared." Demetri offered. "Never." Maeve spat. "Pity." was all Demetri said before lunging at Maeve. Maeve easily dodged his attack. "Come and get me." Maeve said before running away. Demetri smiled. "Game on, darling."
And that is how their little cat and mouse game began. For many centuries to come, Maeve would be on the run.
