there are red marks
and bruises
where my fingertips
have kissed his skin.
his lips are swollen
from being pressed
against mine.
and his eyes are all red,
it's 3:30 AM-
we've been up all night.
he doesn't seem to mind
that, or being mine.

or how he can love
