my natural hair is something of a tumultuous mess
between curls and locks.
the top layer turns to a straight frizz
and underneath lay
loose ringlets.
some days I flat iron my hair
and I put an anti frizz on top
and I love the way my long, thick,
straight
hair shines.
and other days I apply a curl enhancer
to wet hair
roll it into a bun overnight
and spray it in the morning
to hold loose curls in place.
and really
both feel kinda forced
because naturally I'm somewhere
in between.
but I love both.
and I'm impartial to either.
so really I think
the way I love
is perfect.
