your eyes
bear an impossible resemblance to the ocean.
not because they are blue-
(that is, in my opinion) an overexploited cliche-
but because they are dark
and tainted,
but sparkle under the right light.
they are magnetic,
hypnotic,
like waves they push and pull.
and even more than the ocean
are impossible to catch
