Y/n's POV-
"Let's go y/n!"
Sirens wailed across town. I jumped in the van as Mick stepped on the gas peddle. We raced across the town, sirens wailing behind us still.
"Y/n!" Funshine yelled as two cop cars appeared in front of us. I closed my eyes. Focused. The van transported to the other side of the cop cars just as they were about to hit us.
Funshine high-fived Axel as they cheered and laughed at the clueless officers behind us. Blood slowly fell from my nose.
Time hop to the warehouse-
Back at the warehouse, Kali congratulated me on my third kill.
"There's still more out there, y/n."
"I know, Kali. I want to get stronger first."
"Tomorrow we will practice by the trains. I have some tricks up my sleeve still..." she said as a butterfly crawled out o her sleeve onto her hand. It flapped its wings a couple times. I stared at it with intensity, as the butterfly changed color. Kali looked happy at me and the butterfly disappeared.
"Well done, sister. You should get some rest for tomorrow."
I was glad she payed attention to me. Normally, she doesn't teach me anything new. But since this is my third kill -and I'm 003- she is congratulating me with her attention. Most days, she doesn't even pay attention to me. That makes me sad. I wish we were closer. Kali says that "I'm not her real sister because we had different mothers." And that our mothers didn't get along. So we shouldn't get along. I want to get along. I want someone with the same powers as me to help me through this nasty, mean life. I just wish I could find more people like me...
We hugged and said good night. I climbed up the warehouse stairs and climbed in my hammock. I stayed awake for hours before I drifted off with nightmares:
I was in this weird place that looked like the warehouse, but it wasn't. There was little particals floating around the atmosphere. I was all alone. I called for Kali, Mick, Dottie, Funshine, and Axel. There was a echo though the whole room. I heard screetching in the room next to me. I slowly got up. I opened the door to reveal a figure. It was hunched over, eating something. A rat, I think. The figure stopped. Turned around and its face opened up. It screamed at me. I screamed at it. I felt a stabbing pain in my right forearm and my eyes shot open from the nightmare. I sat up.
Kali, Mick, Dottie, Funshine, and Axel were all starring at me like I just got killed. I was sweating so much and my throat burned. Kali was holding my arm with a seringe in it.
"Its okay, y/n." said Kali.
Every thing went black.
