Ray Caroll. I learned more about him though that article and also went into the Darkness again. There, he was the one who brain-washed Jane's mama. He was the one that said, "450".

The next morning Kali took us both out to the trains. We each got in some good training. I was teleporting big things now with more speed and felt good. I changed some of the trains colors too and showed Kali my new "blend-in" power, where I make myself the color of my background and play with the lights on people. We laughed and had a good time. Kali even commented on how strong I have been. I smiled and was happy for one second, but then reminded myself that Kali just wanted my powers. So she technically commented on how well my powers are looking.
Jane did really good too. She moved two trains with her mind. Kali made her focus on all the bad men and how she missed her friends back in Indiana. After the second train, Axel, Dottie, Mick, and Funshine came around the corner and as if they had been watching, started cheering for the two of us.
We came back inside the warehouse and went into the room with the bulletin board from last night. Kali explained to Jane that the "bad men" -as Jane calls them- are still out there and alive. Kali then asked her if she knew any. Jane took a photo down and said, "Him."
Shit. It was Ray Caroll. The man who Kali and Axel were talking about last night.
Kali said that they hurt her too, as well as Jane's mama. I got a feeling last night that I know him as well. I remember him from my lab. He always gave me the shot to help me focus. He carried me to the dark room where I would sit in there for days, going crazy, until Brenner thought I learned my lesson of using my powers "correctly" (pretty much killing innocent people).
Kali says that with the help of Jane, we can track the bad men easier (because Jane can go into the Darkness like me, but she can find out where a certain person is located.). Jane then crumples up the photo.

Jane contacts Ray through the telephone (she needs electricity to do it) and finds out where he is. Dottie looks up the address and Mick finally agrees to go looking for him by saying, "Screw it!"
Everyone starts getting ready. Jane and I go into Dottie's room and Kali comes in with us.
Dottie and Kali slick back our hair and apply heavy makeup on our faces.
"Holy hell Dottie! They look exactly alike!" Axel says as he walks in the room.
"Just like sisters." Dottie says with gum in her mouth and gives us a wink.
"Bitchin'" Jane and I say at the same time. We giggle and go out to the van.
We jam out to music in the van and decide what masks to take and wear. Jane chooses one that looks like a really chubby baby and I choose the one that looks like a scary bird (A/N I ReAlLy hate birds).Then, we load up on some supplies from a gas station and speed away from some cops. We bonded during the whole ride there.

We silently crept up the stairs of the apartment (Mick stayed in the van). Jane slid the lock open with her powers and we entered. He was fixing his tv when we stood behind him. He of course started freaking out. Dottie and Axel went through his things and grabbed his wallet while Funshine guarded the door and Kali, Jane, and I stood in front of him. We unmasked.
"You hurt Mama!" And with that, Jane slammed him against the wall. He as bleeding on his head and crying for mercy. Then he said something shocking.
"I'll take you to Dr. Brenner! He's alive!" Jane and I stepped back. Jane told me he was dead! I don't believe this man and he's making me want to hurt him even more. I transport Axel's switch blade to my left hand and kneel down. It pops out and he starts crying again.
"Don't listen to him. Jane will find him if Brenner is still alive, just like she found you." Kali said as she walked forward. "Do it y/n! Come on Jane!"
Jane held her hand up and started choking him with her powers. I knelt by him and put the blade back in. I held it at his neck, ready to push the button. But something was wrong. I hesitated. We both did. Jane and I saw two little girls in his family photo.
"What's wrong? What's wrong?!" Kali shouted at us. Just then, we heard Axel yell "Shit! There kids here, Kal!"
"We finish this first. Y/n! Jane! NOW!" Kali yelled.
Ray was still lying on the floor saying, "please..please..."
Kali pulled out her gun and cocked it, but we were too quick. Jane threw the gun out of her hand, and I transported Kali 5 feet away from us. Kali looked at us with hate in her eye. Scirens sounded outside.
"Kal, we've got to go!" Axel yelled, running out the door. We left Ray there, on the floor. Running out of the apartment, Jane and I held hands. We were both scared out of our shit. We jumped in the van and Mick stepped on it.
"If you wanted to show mercy, you too, fine. But don't ever take away mine. EVER. Do you understand? Do you understand??"
We both looked at each other, breathing hard. We were so scared and not thinking about what just happened. We both just looked out the window with tears streaming from our faces.

Back at the warehouse, Funshine and Dottie were playing cards, Axel was sorting out the money, and Mick at her usual post. Kali was downstairs and Jane and I were upstairs. I could tell that Kali was pissed.
She came up about an hour later to give us us a pep talk. I didn't listen though. I stared off, knowing that this isn't my home. Jane and her were talking and I got up, off the bed. I looked over the railing and thought to myself. This isn't were I'm supposed to be. I'm tired of revenge. I want a family and to live a normal life. After a while, I looked over my shoulder. There, Dr. Brenner stood. He got into my head. I could tell Jane saw him too. Although he was talking just to me.
"You have to confront your pain, y/n."
"Get out of my head." I said.
I sat down again and a hot tear rolled down my cheek.
"It is growing, y/n. Fear. It will eventually kill you."
"Get out of my head." I replied back, shaking my head.
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!" Jane and I both screamed. We broke down, crying. Kali got up and walked in front of us and Brenner disappeared.
"This isn't a prison. You guys are always free to go. Or stay, and avenge your mothers. We need to heal our wounds, together."
She left the emotional room, leaving Jane and I crying. We sat on the side of the bed and Jane showed me in the Darkness why she missed her home that much. I saw the policeman she talked about and some of her friends. They trusted in her and loved her. I want friends like that. Friends that would do anything for you. Then Jane blanked. I saw just her in the Darkness walking towards the policeman. He looked in trouble. Then the boy that she calls Mike, looking in trouble as well. He was screaming at some soldiers shouting, "WE'RE TOO LATE! WE'RE TOO LATE!!" He then stared crying in a mans arms. Jane saw this and started screaming when she couldn't help them.
"MIKE!? MIKE! MIKE WHERE ARE YOU!!?"
We both clipped back into reality, hearing the door burst open. We saw the bad men and Kali made us all invisible. It it kind of funny to have them not see us, but at the same time, we were all about to piss ourselves. We ran to the van and Kali made a distraction. There, crouching down with everyone, I made a decision.
"Y/n, Jane. Get in." Said Kali. I knew what Jane was going to say too.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry but I have to go back." Jane said, shaking.
"And I'm going with her, Kali. I want a second chance at normal. A family." I said with a tears going down my face.
"This isn't time for a talk, ladies, we got to go right NOW!" Axel said.
"Your mothers sent you here for a reason. We belong together." Dear God I want to scream at her. All she cares about is stupid revenge!
I look to see that Kali's power is fading. I give the gang one last look, then take off. Sprinting down the ally.
