★Avianna's POV★
THREE MONTHS LATER
Xander had fully recovered and everything was great. My dad made Xander Second In Command, meaning that Xander came like the other leader, and Selena and I were in charge of training the new recruits as well as other members of the gang. Leo is head of the Tech Department while, Blake handles the Weapon Vault. Leo and Selena are still happily together, and no, Selena didn't kill Leo...yet. However, Blake is no longer in a relationship with Sherry, they broke up because Sherry thought Blake was a little dark.
Ever since their breakup, Blake didn't go out much and he spent most of his time with Leo. Blake went back to his kinda cold self but he's still a fun guy. Sherry quit from the gang and went her own way.
"Hey hun!" Leo greeted Selena with a peck on her cheek. We were in the training room, with my dad, uncle and Xander.
"Your 'hun' is my daughter!" My uncle reminded.
"Yes sir." Leo nervously answered.
We all laughed while Selena shook her head at her dad. Although they've been dating for almost six months, Selena's dad still treats Leo like a newcomer. Xander, however, was very close to my dad, he was treated like his son, not that I'm complaining, it's great and all but... I think Xander loves my dad more than me. I'm not kidding, they made their own secret handshake, they go out every Wednesday and Friday to who knows where and when they come back home, they head straight to the living room to watch movies, horror movies. Just last week, Xander gifted my dad a T-shirt, it wrote 'World's Best Wingman', words can't describe how angry I was. But all that aside, I'm glad they're so close, at least my dad doesn't make Xander run ten laps in the morning with a flour sack on his back like my uncle does to Leo.
"Uncle John, let's go check on the Weapon Vault." I pulled his arm, trying to give Selena and Leo some space.
"Isn't Blake there?" He asked a little harshly.
He's onto our plan.
"Yeah...but maybe he needs our help." I searched my brain for excuses.
"Alright," He turned to Leo with a deadly glare. "don't even think about any plans." Leo gulped.
Poor guy.
As we walked to the Weapon Vault, I noticed my uncle's concentration.
"You know Uncle John, Leo's a great guy. He kind, sweet, funny, strong, protective, smart, he's a good cook, he loves kids and animals, and he can handle a gun pretty well." I tried to convince Uncle John that Leo is a great guy.
"I know he is." He laughed.
I'm confused.
"Then why do you treat him like an outsider?" I asked.
"I'm Selena's father, I want the best for her. Leo is the best for her, I know that because of all the tasks I put him to do, he treats me with respect. Once I get the respect I deserve, my little girl will get the respect she deserves. It's a dad thing." He whispered the last part to me.
"That makes sense. When are you planning on telling him?" I asked, excitedly.
"The day he proposes."
Smart man.
We finally reached the Weapon Vault, but I feel now that it was a waste of time, but then again, I did get some good information. Why not check up on Blake?
